Good guy, fan friendly, hard worker, great rider.....all in a sport that doesn't seem to have enough to go around.

X2 on that! I know its been brought up, but they need to give Mike factory components. He will probably finish ahead of JS this season, again.

Most likely he is out busting laps. One of the hardest workers in the sport and he proves it by continually finishing in front of factory riders

What is the reason that Suzuki isn't supporting Alessi/MCR again? He's smoking their factory riders, and...nothing...from Suzuki. Seems odd...like its something personal between the Alessis and Suzuki or something.

I'm not trying to turn anything into a crap fest....It's an honest question? Why is the guy sitting 5th in points, in front of 4 factory riders (stewart, Rattray, Weimer, Tickle), not a factory rider himself?

From a fans point of view I used to think of MA800 as a tool, but he is really turning around his image. He seems much more level headed and respectful. His podium interviews are great and he looks like he is really putting in solid work. This field is stacked and its time for people to see that in outdoors he belongs in the top 5, I can't wait until he gets a start.

This exactly.

I was discussing with a buddy of mine (before he pulled out of SX) at how he has scored points in so many consecutive races since going with the MCR gig. I respect his hard work and I wouldn't say he has the raw speed to win but he is doing what he can to be a top 5 guy consistantly. Its good stuff.

He's an awesome rider. I've been a fan for years, and I hope he continues to vindicate himself every week.

Wait until Washougal! Wink

For Sure mike is doing fantastic on the production bike, and I would love to have him get another shot on the factory machine, i'm just confused about the Thursday randomness of this thread.

This is Sunday or even a Monday thread, it is out of place late in the week.

This place is totally out of control

What does he gain by getting factory stuff? Smartop MotoConcepts Racing seems to be doing all right, as is.

Maybe true, but if I were Mike I'd love me a pair of those sweet triple- air Showas that James has...

BTW has anyone seen a Suzuki ad anywhere for how well Alessi and the rockstar team is doing on a modified production motorcycle this year?

I sure haven't. Kind of weird that they have disavowed anybody but their factory rider.
