Not rying to argue but I have been around this stuff for 30 plus years. His bike is just as good as the others.
Given that, he will likely show flashes of speed but I wouldn't be surprised to see him loose ground due to a couple of mistakes and possibly fade in the 2nd moto if he is not fully 100% yet, though I doubt he would be coming back if he wasn't.

However, I agree with you that his race with Tyler may be a closer comparison but I don't really think it is. That track in Florida was super smooth and easy, AND that was only a short time after AC started riding the 250. I'm sure he is more comfortable with it now.
What I don't get though is why people keep saying that Webb is a more complete racer than AC and that AC can't handle pressure. I guess no one remembers LL2011 Superminis, and AC's come from behind charge in the second moto? The kid has been under huge pressure for the past 5 years or more, he can handle it.
Either way, I think that AC will do just fine.

Side note : if the motos were shorter....I think he would place higher. I think the longer motos will have him start to fade a little in the last 10 minutes.
He's definitely grown a lot recently, you can see a lot of height difference and even some shoulder width from MEC to the DC video with TP/MC to the practice vids of him with RV just before the nationals.
He'll do fine, I expect he'll get holeys weighing 15lbs less than the rest of the guys, top 10 to start and then top 5s and a podium isn't out of the question. Dude trains with RV and Weimer with Aldon Baker cracking the whip, pretty sure he'll be dialled more than some internet jocks are thinking
He will then be swallowed up by a pack of hungry riders going the relative speed. Finishes 12-14.

Lets face it, he has never faced the kind of pressure he will face. In the past it's been 40 rider gates with only a couple guys running anywhere near his pace. Now? Going to be a 40 rider gate with 20+ guys going close to his speed.
People going inside, people going outside, some at the same time. People in his lines, attacking him all the way around the track.
Been a long time(if ever) that he's had to deal with that.
All the hype is going to make him a target to every rider out there who thinks they aren't getting their due(rightfully felt or not)
I wish him well.
Pit Row
it's over for kenny and eli.
I don't think he's racing anytime soon.
I wish the best for him but, with Bagget, Tomac, Musquin, Webb, Roczen, Zach Osborne,....Bogle comn' in,...it's gonna be a blender fer ser.....

I mean seriously, predicting a win or podium in his first professional race is just too hard to believe..
Bike is is not the winner it's the man on the seat
