You know... I like the idea of 350 4 strokes and 300 2 strokes. That might be a decent mix.

Thanks guys. I just wish guyb would come in sometimes and clip the trash that needs to be taken out sometimes but I understand this is a public place and we can say what we want. Triple five just makes this site more reason to avoid trying to have contact with the fans of our sport because no matter how much I want to have a relationship with everyone I just need to sometimes stay away because there are trolls that have no life other then bringing others down for there own pleasure.
In 2004 you and Mike raced at the Iowa state fair grounds. My Daughter was at this race (she was 12), It was shortly before she raced at Loretta Lynn's for the first time. She got wiped out in her race, we were walking back to the pits, she said Dad I hurt so bad. You were walking right in front of us, you bent down and said "Get on" you gave her a piggy back ride all the way to the pits. To me this showed you were not only a great racer, but a good person. I try to follow your career and me and my family wish you nothing but the best. Thanks for taking the high road.

I met Jeff a few times at the Rock River semi a few years back. He was a nice guy then and whatever he got into (i'm not sure and any information is second hand) that caused problems for him, sounds like he has put this problem behind him I just wish him luck moving forward as i personally have made tons of mistakes in my life and worked thru them so anyone can!!! Mistakes are only bad if you dont learn from them and correct them otherwise whatever doesnt kill you make you stronger.

What an excellent story!!!Cool

Not many racers would even talk to a young girl without being prompted by her Dad, let alone give her a "ride"! That is so cool of Jeff!

Wow, cool idea. Did Honda give them the bike or did a local shop produce it (sleeved down 450). He may have already said, I just missed it. Thanks for comin on here Jeff!

I don`t get it. Is Honda itself involved or is it just some italian shop doing Luongo`s order?

I remember that race, we would do all the other Minnesota fair races but that Iowa race was the big one we did n I think Cody Gilmore was racing that night to. It's been a long time but that sounds like me, some called it random but that's just how I am and I would do stuff like that to cheer up anyone so they could smile and continue to have fun. Cool to hear about this almost 10 years later. Thanks.

Also this is a bike built in Italy not a bike from Honda. If Honda was doing this some jap would be pounding out laps with it. I wouldn't be surprised if Honda already has a race ready 350 tho and I would bet money they actually do have them being testing right now. I know it's coming in the future for the sport, the 450s are making the sport a yawner because (like iv said before) only the very top riders are making the money to supply themselves with the special stuff to keep them from getting tired. And it's BS!

That's pretty damn awesome. It's the little things like that, that people around at the time will remember for a long time. Good on you Jeff! Good luck with the 350!

Great information Jeff. Thank you plus congrats on getting positive feedback almost ten years later after a kind gesture. Very cool.

Do you know the background on why the Italians built the 350? You raise a really interesting point about Honda race ready 350. Of any of the Japanese OEMs I would expect Yamaha to be the one to uncork a 350 first and would be surprised if they didn't have one already.

I totally agree it is BS about the special stuff.

Just to be clear here, you're pissed off at triple five for making a comment about the state of your career that you pretty much made yourself just a few months ago but you've got no problems accusing other riders of cheating and probably violating the law just because they can ride faster and longer other riders........

Hmm.

Hope things start to go better for you soon.

Hmm did i just say they were cheating? no, i said they can afford the stuff that keeps them from getting tired. that could be there trainer or a lot of stuff other racers cant afford. again im not just talking about me but about 95% of the racers are not getting that kind of money to pay there trainer half a million dollars up front. Cheaters get caught usually. Usually.

Technically you're correct, but it's hard to read that without remembering the accusations you made around Christmas.

Either way, let the triple five stuff roll off. Nothing he said was truly terrible, especially compared to what "mainstream" athletes hear from fans and spectators on a daily basis.

I hope you are able to show everyone your full potential soon. Good luck.

I could be wrong, but doesnt Dungey train himself? He seems to be doing pretty well without forking over 1/2 mil to a trainer and doesn't seem to "get tired." Maybe you should go Jose Canseco on the moto world and let everyone know what the 5% are doing with all their money.

"Is it just some italian shop doing Luongo`s order?" Sounds like it ( Italian Bike shop ?). AMA 450 Outdoor Muddy Creek was no Yawner ! Sounds like Luongoism TV sob story ? Jeff I realise you have to support your current 350 program however not everything you say makes sense ? All motor sport has a top 5 where must they go ? They make the sport what it is - The other 95 who cannot reach that level will love to be there as well while dispising them - How dare they ride a 450 to the max! They should do some other sport right - Restrict the challenge with displacement rules and there will be a top 5 again and again - 350 for 350 sake makes no sense at all - Bringing the 2 stroke towards the 4 stroke in terms of leveling the options making the sport cheaper for all and hence growing it makes sense ( 2t cheaper to race? ) example 300cc 2t v 350 4t class. Doubt the green people will allow that to happen even though 2T's run quieter. - A 350 is going to be more costly to run than a 450 cos it need more rebuilds than a 450 and that wlll make the sport more expensive and the cheque book racing BS problem you are refering to will increase not decrease ? I love the effort of doing new stuff which in itself is often against the grain and hence hard so good for you on that front .

Did you sell out to that fat italian? Serious question. Your rhetoric is very similar to those of Luongo in his recent interview.

I agree that Honda is probably working on a 350 for sure. The other Big 4 are most likely waiting to see what Honda and the AMA are going to do. I'm only speculating, but I would imagine there would have to be a rule change regarding 2-strokes if the displacements were lowered.

Listen if you can't see the truth in my post that's your problem. It's great some pros come here, it really is, but of you say something that hints about ped's expect people to comment on it.

It's not like being fast is some free pass to avoid debate. Don't want to talk about it? That's fine by me but don't bring it up then.
