1978 YZ 100 suspension Questions

Hello VitalMX Folks:

I bought a 1978 YZ 100 last week and love it. However, I'd like to either beef up the suspension or increase the travel on both ends. I'm 49 y/o, weigh 170# and I'm an intermediate rider. I would appreciate your suggestions and experience. Thank you, Claude.

Im no suspension expert but I do know for the forks they do make after market spring kits for bikes which would stiffen up the front end, and I know you can play with the fork oil some what.

Keep your eye out for a 78-79 YZ125, and drop your 100 engine into the 125 rolling chassis.

Thank you Project Racer. I can understand that. I knew I could find longer forks but
I probably have little to no chance to get a longer trick swing arm. So put the engine in
A bike instead of building a bike around the engine. Thank you
