I just bought a new 7x14 enclosed trailer. I would like to coat the floor this weekend so that it is not just the bare wood. I do have some E-Track to put in it for hauling bikes/anything else. What have other used with success/ failure? I have been thinking about some type of garage floor coating or epoxy paint. How well does this stuff adhere to bare wood? Any recommendations of going up a foot on the wall or not?

I would check with your local paint store about a two part epoxy that will work over wood. First coat will soak in and seal it up, wait 24 hours and apply a second coat. Two component stuff is great, super durable.

I bought a enclosed trailer that had bedliner material sprayed throughout on the floor and ramp door. Mixed reviews on that, doesn't sweep clean easily.

Ok Linoleum Is the way to go. Lowes site prices were way off. You can do checkered flag for about 80.00

Get some gym floor finish. Some sort of soft pad or applicator and you're set to go. I've used it on a numer of trailers, and it works great. Put a couple coats on. Wait an hour or so between coats depending on weather conditions.

That will adhere, hold up to the abuse of bikes, tool boxes, gas cans and so on.

Unless you want the square tile look. That's a bit more work tho..

Scott - we had line-x in our trailer and up 2ft on each side so we could powerwash the trailer out after every race. we took it to them in olathe and they did it. but, there is a DIY version out that at probably Home Depot or such...

we have the race-deck stuff in our snow-mobile trailer... i would stay away from that if i were you.

the shit heats up (especially seeing you're in AZ) and bubbles up across the entire floor. it's the bee's knees in the winter when it's cold and lays flat though.

i bought a new trailer and used hurculiner bed liner kit, it worked real good nice gritty finish, yes it sweeps out hard but, like another guy said i did up the kickplates and i can pressure wash it out, my only issue was i got the 5 qt kit it was 120, i needed two kits to do it, and about 25 bucs worth of that good blue masking tape never mind how much time i spent on it, this is easy to do if you want to do it yourself but if i were to do it again i would call line-x or rhino liner for a price first

Thanks a lot for the info guys! I'll be going by Lowe's, or Home Depot and the parts store tonight after I'm off work to look at what all my options are. You guys brought up some good details that I didnt even think of.

Dennis - I think there is also a place that does liners down off front street or something... Not the best area but a buddy said they were cheap. But as some of the other guys said... hard to clean out unless you'ur powerwashing it.

Jhansen510 - Thanks man! I think that one is at HWY65 MX down in Cole Camp, Mo.

Any other little tips/tricks you guys did to make your trailer more user friendly? or any good accessories you couldn't live without?

I haven't used the stuff but at Lowe's they have a new deck coating that looks pretty cool...they have an end cap display in our local establishment...i think it's called deck restore...

Scooter, check out truck works on the south side of 50 in lees summit. Spray liner is the way to go. Like Dennis said, go up 2ft on each side and powerwash/hose it out.
I've never had much luck with the DIY roll on liners. They don't hold up near as well

I used either Lowes or HD's "porch paint". I think it is urethane based. It's held up well on my trailer. The first coat does soak in pretty well. I mixed some sand in it to coat the ramp.
The problem with laminates is expansion and contraction of the floor. Unless you insulate it will all buckle over time.

Scott, I did the DIY bedliner stuff in my trailer when I was roadracing and it was great. WAY cheaper than having it professionally done and after 2 years only a few spots wore thin. It basically just looked like flat black paint and wasn't real gritty but wouldn't get slick in the rain and swept out pretty good.

Whatever you do, don't tile or use diamond plate. Looks great until you bust your ass loading up in the rain!

Herculiner! This stuff sticks to anything and is bomb proof. Do not use any other brand, especially duplicolor. Mix it well, do a first coat and let it dry. Follow by one or two more coats. Great grip, easy to hose off and relatively cheap. Can be found for about $60 for the gallon kit.
