Anyone have or know where I can get a front wheel/brake combo for a 1983-84 RM250 or 500? Stopping is so important.

I found a complete front end from a '84 RM250 that was being parted out on ebay. I think it set me back $150. A set of emulators, .46kg springs and a straight stanction from Lee at On The Pipe, and I was cooking with gas. Got about $400 in them now.

No, the stanction is the chrome tube of the fork. The slider is the aluminum tube.

Got one off of a 83 RM 500. $100.00 with forks! It' doesn't have the cable mount on the brake plate like the 1984 models do. Is there any advantage over the open cable from the fork? I have a welder that's awsome with magnesium. I could ad a tab.
