This place is hilarious. This thread is about RV vs RC and the fanboys saw the word RV and decided to invite themselves in and make it a JS bashing thread instead. It's like when your just chillin' at home and a buddy asks to come over for a beer and you tell him that's cool. Next thing you know there's 50 people in your house, beer pong on the dining room table, a dude on a jetski in the pool, some girl passed out in a shrub outside, an iguana taking body shots, and your damn mattress is missing. Dafuq?
Stewart fans had their time. Now it`s time for dumbass NOOB`s. As painful as it is that`s the way world works.

James' helmet cam is incredible. I didn't know RV yarded James that bad and that quick. It's kind of demoralizing to be honest. I KNOW James will get back up there and run RV harder than what we just saw..... But holy cow , RV is a animal no matter if you like the guy or not. That is just strait up ballistic , go for broke riding right there!

People act as if Stewart at 27 is some kind of Grandpa, Ricky Carmichael was 27 and had to step up his speed and he did it. James Stewart was 24 when the Ryans came onto the scene and started Dominating and he hasn't been able to step up his Game the way Ricky Carmchael did. I think RV has more in the Tank if someone starts to challenge him, he's that fast.

Ummmm...What has JS done since 2009?....his time has passed and to think that he is RV's main comp or even in the equation is a joke, RV only has to worry about Dungey and vice-versa.

One thing that drives me crazy is the misuse of the word talent. People always say, oh these young kids are soooo talented.

Are they more talented then the last generation, or has the development of their talent been perfected even more. I think a better term would be skilled.

Carmichael VS Villopoto might be the ultimate fantasy cage match. They are almost the same guy on the track. RV is like a sharpened more evolved version of RC. As far as Stewart must be concerned, RC took a couple years off and came back.

Ricky Carmichael was 27 when he retired, but could have raced competitively for at least another 2 or 3 years if he had anything more to prove, but basically he beat everyone the world threw at him and being a new Father, he decided to hang up the Boots and race Trucks. Ricky Carmcihael at 28 and 29 could still have won championships if he had decided to keep going and was hungry for more titles

I wonder if rv will be competing for titles in 3 years, as you say RC easily could have been doing?
I don't think rv will be in the sport past 3 years from now.
I don't think rv will hold off the coming tide, but when he is 27 and whatever is happening we can take this up again, hows that?
Like I have said, you rv'ers love to still bash on JS7, because thats an easy target, but reality is his real competition will be elbowing him out of the way soon enough, I'll be here, will you?

Can you imagine a young and in his prime Bob Hannah riding with these guys? Hannah would've been in everyone's head just like he was back then. RC would've been the only guy I believe that wouldn't have let Hannah's antics get to him...

With that said, you can't compare generations to each other.

There are several on here that have never seen a Hannah, Magoo, Johnson, Lechine, Ward, Barnett, etc. ride. If you had, you for sure wouldn't be limiting your discussion to the few in this thread...

It's gotta be hard for Bubba to get passed like that and just watch Villopoto pull away with ease. RC was able to step up his game and find another Gear to deal with Bubba, but I don't thing Bubba has another Gear to be able to match that kind of Speed RV has. That's the next evolution in Speed right there, Fastest EVER!!!!Woohoo

There is no doubt RV is the best right now, but to brag about beating a rider with a completely torn ACL is pathetic and sad.

I'm 20 and I've been around MX all my life. And just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't know what I'm saying. I know very well what RC has accomplished and who was around. And I'm sorry but since when was Windham or Reed ever serious competition for RC? Never. Yeah, a couple overalls here and there, RC is human. RC never faced an equal foe until the Stewart era. And even then it wasn't enough. So once again I say that RC never had the competition RV had.

RV has RD to worry about, JS to worry about, as well as VERY fast rookies that are at the beginning of their 450 careers.
You forget Stefan Everts, Sebastian Tortelli, McGrath, Vullemin, Pastrana, Reed, Windham, Lusk, Stewart( in his prime).

You can't sit back and say RC had no competition, that dude did work all over the globe indoors and out. He didn't lose and it was rare when he did.

Alright, I will say it, RC had no competition because he was SO MUCH FASTER than everyone else. If he had not been so dominate one would have had a better view of his competition. Those doubting RC never saw him race. RV is fast but if he had RC pressing him, and RC would press him, RV has been known to take a tumble or two. RC would do the same to him that he did to Stewie. Even in supercross this year, when RV was as dominate as ever, if someone pushed him he would bobble. But clearly, RV is the best right now. But my money will always be on RC for any GOAT conversations.

The sport has evolved so quickly since RC's depart. There's no doubt in my mind that RV would handle RC. And i even believe that our new top 5 (RV, RD, JS, TC, JCool would even give Ricky a lot to handle. A lot of people forget about how fast the sport is changing, and how much the level of competition has elevated. RC will forever be the GOAT, but comparing him to our riders now is impossible, and those questions will never be answered.

I could be wrong with my opinion, but it makes sense to me.

I could be way off, like I said. But I just can't imagine a 2006 RC beating a 2013 RV straight-up. There's just so many things that have changed that would place RV in favour. Bikes (holy crap bikes are good now), fitness (Aldon Baker has progressed his ways ten fold since the RC days), and competition (RC had none lol).

Anyways, that's off topic, but WOW I can't believe the gap RV pulled on JS. I heard it was something like 2.5 seconds on the first lap? That's just another level. Godly.
James was at maybe 85%. Gappin James like RV did wouldn't be a big deal IMHO.

I'll speak with some candor.... Bubba was riding 90% and RV was riding 105%. If any of the Big 5 want to win a race, they will be have to ride a tad out of their comfort zone. This was not Bubba racing a tad out of his comfort zone. What blows my mind about RV: 1. He is the best passer in the game (maybe the history of the sport) 2. He can have statement race at any given time. WIll he dominate like this for 22 more motos? The odds are against him.

If RC was still racing, he would had evolved with the sport. No doubt, RV is the best in world right now. However, is competion is very close to him.

Only urine tests and EPO can't be detected. A little EPO would go a long ways for stew

RV's wife scares me, and the few times I've seen her my pecker grew a new wrinkle.
I think the man is just scared to lose and face the wrath!

(P.S. Not a personal attack)
