If anyone knows of any tracks near Denver that we could ride at next week please let me know. I will be bringing 2 Pros from Illinois and would like to ride a little and get bikes dialed. Most likely Wednedsay or Thursday.

Thanks

Get in touch with Privateer Derek Anderson, he is from that area and would know the good tracks for testing.

Valley Dirt Riders - I-25 and Berthoud (about 40 minutes north of Denver)

IMI - 1-25 and Dacono Exit 232 (about 30 minutes north of Denver)

Not sure if Watkins is still up and running, it's about 30 minutes East of Denver

IMI is fun, http://www.imimotorsports.com/
VDR is good, http://www.vdrmx.com/
You may also want to know that there is no tracks in Denver. All the tracks listed above are 30-60 minutes from Denver. Closer if you stay north I-25 and Watkins is out east by our airport.

Watkins prep and pros typically practice Thursday, see facebook for any last minute updates. Owner real good about this now.

Here is another favorite of most of my friends. They prep Wednesday Two-Rivers-Racing Milliken which is near Berthoud.

A quick note on Berthoud http://www.vdrmx.com/ , I highly recommend going on a prep day, otherwise extremely blue grooved riding an no fun. But prepped the track is one of the fastest fun tracks I've ridden.

IMI http://www.imimotorsports.com/ closest to Denver and has the most diverse track and jumps.

Then contact me for a 2 hour cross training session at Red Rocks to get your athletes ready for the altitude.

There is Miliken as well & Watkins is is up and running & has been redone, they put in a lot of sand & new sections. Imi has good dirt. There are a few tracks down south as well about an hour or so outside of thunder Valley.

I also can put you in touch with Derek if needed.

Watkins is actually under new ownership, they have what seems like daily prep (sometimes a couple times a day) and have re done the track as well added a ton of dirt and sand. I have not been able to ride it personally but I hear it's better than it's ever been.

The thread pretty much has is covered already, Watkins is going to be your best spot both for track quality and proximity to Denver. It's the only track prepping 5 days a week right now (weds-sun). Aztec in Colorado Springs and Milliken up north usually do a prepped Wednesday afternoon practice, but Thursday and Friday will be no dice there. Those tracks are both tighter and lower speed, Milliken has a classic riding-on-the-farm kind of feel but some of the jumps are downright miniscule, roll everything first to void jumping into the next county. My personal opinion is that Berthoud is a massive pile of shit, higher speed with jumps that are also too small.

Looks like Watkins will be the place.

Wow! Sounds like Watkins has really turned it around since the old man kicked the bucket and new owners came in. I remember I remember going there one day and it would be dry, so I would ask the old man..." you going to put in the water down on this freeway?", and he was like " Why don't you get your own damn water for your own damn track!" Ahhhh Good Times!
