I'm a KTM fan...My next bike will likely be a KTM 2 stroke-300XC-(and I hope I'm not alone in that...KTM's business model is great for the sport). I currently ride a 2009 Yamaha YZ450, and I LOVE IT...but even now I'd be on KTM if it wasn't for the great deal on my Yamaha.
So I'm not bashing KTM, nor supporting Honda...just pointing out that KTM is still a very small fish in a very big pond at the moment (but they are growing quickly...and doing so at the expense of their competition).
And to top it all off Short was a consistent top 10 for the interim he raced his own stock CRF450R.
Honda has had the most bikes in both classes at the majority of the races. There is rarely a privateer Kawi... (450)
You and all others that are so adamantly against the new gen. are really, really, ignorant. Yamaha has had an unchanged, carbureted 250 since 2007, I don't hear you on that one. Stewart's RMZ has the clutch burned out or failed 3 times this SX season, you have yet to speak up. The new YZ450F has a gas tank under the seat, I don't think you've voiced your opinion on that. You just have a serious hate for red bikes.
Honda... Have you ridden one? (Do you even ride?!)
Pit Row
there is nothing better in life than going on a forum and busting on people who are on the honda payroll...
thanks for the laughs.....u muy bueno!
it was not an AMA pro big boy championship...it was a race......
He's been there since 2001. That's a decade plus two.
honda has not won in a decade.....
Racing is marketing, if a brand wins a championship it does not make them better then any other bikes out of the crate.
There is a whole team behind a win, a bike without a rider can't win, a rider with a bike but without a great team can't win a championship. A championship can't be won without a good mix of that + some luck. People that believe the winning brand is the best brand for them are just delusional and easy to manipulate by marketing.
