I had the Crossfire SRS for a season and loved them. They were rather stiff though.

Stiff? I have a brand new pair of Crossfire TAs and they are incredible. The TA is the same as the SRS just different sole.

After these Sidis, I'll never buy Alpinestars againt.

Yes, the different sole on the SRS is solid plastic. Dont get me wrong, they were great boots. The SG-10's are just more comfy.

Gotcha, cant compare with SG-10s, never tried them. I loved the Sidi so much, I went ahead with them.

I wore Alpinestars for over 15 years, got a set of SG-10's two years ago

I always feel like the ankle pivot on the SG10s made them wide feeling. I always wanted to get my feet in closer. I am in Oxtars now. The new SG12s don't have the same pivot system, might feel better that way now. Definitely get a size smaller in the Garnaes. They both fit my 4e right foot. Sidis are too narrow for me and A10s also. JMO

Transworld Motocross says, "The Gaerne SG-10 has set the standard by which we will now measure all motocross boots."

In complete agreement.... once you go SG you will never go back!!

Oxtar TCX Pro. Good boot, reasonable ankle protection. Buckles are ok, but the middle 2 get snagged sometimes while putting them on. Soles wear well. The 9's fit my 8EE foot well; order a size larger than normal.

They look kinda bulky around the toe area, plus the buckles always come loose. My brother got a set of alpinestar tech 10s and they didn't last very long. I'd go for SG-10s or sidi crossfire.

Every time I glance at this thread's title, I think it says "Best Boobs", and I get all excited for a second.

My experience with Fox has not been a good one. My ex wife bought me a pair of Forma Pro's for x-mas one year.... Not sure why she chose FOX since I never had any of their gear, but like most non-moto people she recognized the brand.

The boots fit well and required zero break in. The feeling of the brake/pegs/shifter was very good....almost too good! I'll explain that later...

By the third or fourth ride I had noticed that where the ankle joint was the boots folded and buckled to be able to bend and had already showed signs of wear from gripping the frame. Bubba must get new boots every 30 minutes....
Also, there was considerable wear on the sole... the reason that the "feel" was so good no doubt. I completely shredded these boots in less than a year, & I mean SHREDDED!! the lining was coming apart, there was a hole worn through on one boot etc etc.
I went and bought SG-10's and have been wearing these for the last 3 years. These boots still look new and they are white!! Most comfortable boot I have ever had.

Anyway, If there have not been major improvements in F3 over the Forma Pro i would stay clear

F3's are really comfortable, but I haven't had them long enough to comment on the overall durability. First couple of rides have been good.

Sidi . 3 years on mine . I might have to replace the soles in another year or so.

Which ones did you get? Can you get soles replaced on the TA model?

SG10's are the best boot I ever rode in, I hear the SG12's might even be better, a lot of pros like the tech 10's for the light weight aspect, but they don't have to buy the replacements, and they seem to wear out fairly quick compared to the Gaerne boot.

I have the Force SRS . Sole replacement system. You would have to go to the boot shop to have the standard soles done . I think they just remove the old ones and glue these on .

The TCX Pro 2's have much better buckles and are way easier to get in and out of. IMO one of the top three boots on the market (Sidi / Gaerne / TCX) and the price is right. Plus I think there is some sort of rebate that you get on the boots right now.
