I watched Brian win a Winter AM at Gatorback on his 30th birthday. He was staying in Florida that winter and was hitting all the local races. Fast mofo for sure.

I remember a funny story about Brian Manley. There was a bunch of us 80's riders out doing some endurance testing with honda. Brian was doing some testing also. We were messing around in our rooms at the old holday inn.. There wasn't much to do in victorville back in 1985.. So we were climbing out of our window and going out on the roof. Well we got brian out there and then we locked the window. It had been about 10 minutes or so and he finally got pissed and basically broke the window. It didn't fall in but it was pretty jacked up. So all of us kids got scared and let him in. We all agreed to not tell anybody about the window. So the next day we are out testing and Honda came out with some new prototype bikes to ride and some of the big japaneese guys came out also. We were all worried about getting in trouble. So then Brett Leaf came over to all of us and asked what we did last night.. We were all like nothing.. Then at the end of the day one of the head japaneese guys told all of kids to come with him. We all knew what was going on and he took us back to the holiday inn to talk to the manager and a police officer. The were putting the heat on us and we ended up rattin out Brian........lol

You didn't tell them it was snowing and I was outside with only a t shirt. Max suzamoto from Honda was not happy, but he let me still test for them cuz I used to bring the Japanese engineers porn, they liked that a lot.

Manley lapped me in a Mickey T. ultracross.

...all i remember is seeing some gay parade-ish streamer flailing from his goggle strap as he went by.

Still to this day , it brings a tear to my eye.

Mr. Manley Do you remember that one time at Glen Helen Nationals 1996 and instead of wearing your Team Jersey you decided to throw on a Short sleeve button Down Hawaiian Shirt " and you were riding a Yamaha Yz 125 and every time you hit that double up front everyone went nuts, do you remember that?

true story.

Brian and I (Tim Foster) had some good battles in the intermediate class once we turned pro he was just on another level! My first ever 250 race was a dog fight for the complete moto with Brian coming out on top both motos.
