Let's be optimistic and assume James Stewart remains healthy and top 1-2 in points outdoors, in Hangtown 2012 form.

NephewOfUncleof2 is always strong, so if he is injury free, we can assume he will be a pick.

Dungey is a given. He will be there.

The three of them would probably be the most dominant team since 1986 in Maggiora, if they are all in top form in September. The biggest wild card obviously would be Jimmy.

But...no 250F guy. Who would do the deed? All 3 of them have "outgrown" them. There was a little man by the name of Bob, in 1987, who rode a yellow one titty five.

So, NephewOfUncleof2 for MX1, the Dunge for MX3, and MX2.....

Well upon further review it looks like Dungey will actually turn 24 on 12/4/2013 after the MXDN. I thought he was older. Do they have some sort of date/age cutoff like the age classes at Loretta's?

AC goes 23-1 this summer on his PC 250f... Now what?

(He gets 11th in the first moto at Hangtown after over jumping the step up double on the 2nd lap passing for the lead. With no Chuck Sun in sight, it takes the little guy just over a minute to free his bike after getting stuck in the fence.)

This will never happen man. If anything stew or villo will ride a 250f. But that won't happen neither. It will be the top 2 450 guys at the time and the top 250 guy. Roger knows we will have a better chance at winning putting a guy who is 100% comfy with the 250f and who has had time and testing on the bike. Not a guy who is very picky with setup on a completely diff animal and haven't been on a 250f (or 125) in 5+ years.

Come on guys. This sounds like my thoughts of hitting the loto.

It's never too early to talk MXoN, thanks Thomas! I really don't see Stewart accepting the MX2 slot, simply because I'm guessing he's going to be needing surgery sooner or later on that knee. But it would be worth the plane ride over to see JS7 back race a 250F for only the second time in his life.

But we have several good 250 choices: Baggett, Tomac, maybe even Barcia or Canard... I'm not buying the AC292 thing until I see him actually ride a 250 outdoors, which is looking more and more likely to happen on May 18.

Come on man... Who was the second American? Exactly BB4 and JB51 both can smoke everyone that was left in the 450 class. Plus BAMBAM was comfy on the 450 anyways and moving up. In your OP you said stew dunge and poto were healthy right? Well we would have a choice in 3 guys tgat can stomp the rest of the field of Americans with no front brake. So therefor comparing last year to your speculation of this year is irrelevant. If villo dunge and stew were healthy and all in the hunt last year... JB51 would not have been on the team. That's reality.

AC292 won't even be a thought unless he is leading the championship and BB4 AND ET are both injured. So I'm with you there. It's 2013 guys... The field of talent that come up are a lot diff than years ago. AC will not come out and dominate his competition. ESPECIALLY if Webb is turning pro this year as well. I think Webb has more potential to shock the world than AC. Just because the cameras follow AC around doesn't mean he will come out winning.

I'm still thinking RM167 for JS7, retires with the trophy in hand. Plenty of time for surgery then.

IMO Poto is the obvious choice for the 250f if this crazy scenario did play out. Only one out of the three that has the mentality capable of riding the 250 at the highest level in the world.

My money would be on Dungey, Villo and Tomac. . . DC brings up a good point about JS's knee. It appears his options at this point are get it fixed and have a chance at 3 or 4 more years of competitive racing or not get it fixed and just cruise for the next few years. . . He isn't going to be able to be a consistent top competitor until he gets it fixed. And absolutely no hate towards JS7. I'd say the same thing about any other rider.

I'd say cooper webb for mx2 Tongue that would be cool but unlikely. My money is on BB4. He is unstoppable on the 250f outdoors.

Have you EVER seen James Stewart ride an underpowered bike? It's seriously the guy's forte. It's like he whole heartedly acknowledges how slow his bike is and just adjusts everything stylistically.

But, truth is, I actually agree with you. if this scenario did play out, i bet it owuld be NephewOfUncleof2 on the 250.

I know it's easy to say Tomac or Bagget, but the Stewart who showed up to Hangtown last year easily waxes them both, which is where the Catch 20 is.

If I was Roger I would pass out on Bagget. Two times a 17th place in France and a 14th and a 6th place in Belgium aren't exactly results that people expect from the best American 250 rider.

A team with the two Ryan's will be almost unbeatable regardless of the 250 rider.

I've seen James ride in flesh everything since he was shredding 85s to current and have raced him a few times as amateurs. I smell what you're stepping in but do you honestly believe JS7 could wick it up like he once did on that 1-2-5? Guess its possible but going back to the edge isn't easier being older. I would love to see it but highly doubt we ever see three 450 riders @ mxon considering how fast the 250 class is these days.

Tomac for 250's. How old is Millsaps? I'd rather see him there than Stew. Stew's fast, but has been seriously struggling to finish strong and consistent when it counts, at least over the past 2-3 seasons. Millsaps did good last year and is looking to do the same this year. But, I think Millsaps has the age problem. Probably gonna be RV (if he stays healthy), Dungey, and Tomac.

Is the U.S. one of the main factors in the reasons the MXoN would never go back to a 125, 250 and Open class? You know, the way it should be. At that point I would be fine with a 23 year old age limit in the tiddler class. Cool
