Picked a nice 04 KX 125

i am setting up the suspension for my weight and preference, And since i did not get the manual with this little gem, im guessing the rebound clicker on the fork is on the bottom as usual, but then i read where KX's up to a certain year are back-ass words...
How stupid would i feel getting the two mixed up wondering the bike feels like a sack of potatoes..

This is an easy one right?

Let me rephrase my question.. Is my rebound clicker on the top or bottom of the fork?

Thanks

The rebound is on top. Those are open cartridge forks and the compression valve is on the bottom.

Yeah, what slipdog said. Those are 48mm KYB cartrige forks, pretty much the same as the older 46mm forks. The compression clicker for those is always on the bottom, the little rubber plug even says "compression" on it. The top is the rebound clicker. Your shock has the compression clicker on top and the rebound clicker underneath on the bottom clevis.

Google around for the service manual.

Your stock clicker settings are (number of clicks out)

Forks: C-10; R-14
Shock: C-13; R-11

48MM KYBs (04 KX 125)

Standard Compression: 14 clicks out (bottom clicker)
Standard Rebound: 13 clicks out (top clicker)
Fork Oil heights: 133-137mm is your standard range, with an adjustable range of 100-145mm.

That's completely incorrect information.

First off, you always count the suspension settings (clicks) from all the way in (clockwise, then you count the number of clicks out (counter clockwise).

And the comp clicker is on the bottom and the rebound is on top.
