He apparently makes his own two strokes with modern frames and trick anodized parts with suspension that looks factory. His name is Maurizio Piotto.

Dayyammmmmm....both bikes are pretty freakin sexy, holy!! I love the red/blue bolts on the engines. Does anyone know if they are sent off for anodizing, or can you buy those as a kit from somewhere? Goddammmm that Honda ROCKS!

Nice yz but I think it would look a million times better with a graphic on that rear fender or even better blue side plates and rear fender. And also swingarm and fork decals! Need to give it a finished look. Looks sick though man! What pipe is that?

I bet the builder anodizes them because it looks like the triple clamps on the honda are just stock ones that have been anodized and I've never seen anything like that offered anywhere.

anodizing is not difficult. You can get everything you need to do it at Walmart. The trick is to polish the stuff before you do it.

I like the minimalist approach to my bikes. I dont like cluttered up sticker kits, and I dont race anymore so I dont want company logos on my bike that dont support me. As for the side plates, the bike came with a JGR graphic kit so the pin stripes matched. I will most likely get a new set of background with a blue and white pin stripe so they dont look out of place. The pipe is a Scalvini, and they look more badass in person than in pictures. I have not ridden the bike yet to compare to my old FMF fatty. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them!

My 2013 250SX is a work in progress. The bike is neither completed nor am I a good photographer. Many of the parts I took off my well dialed '08 250 greatly reducing my cost to build the bike. In fact after selling the OEM parts I removed from this bike my total tab, including the purchase price of the new 250SX, is about $11K total. Or about the cost of a new stock FE SX450F.

First I braced the lower exhaust hanger before powdercoating the frame as past experience has taught me that this part breaks often. The vertical portion on the left is OEM, the portion on the right is the add.




Here is the engine. I just got it back from the builder last night. It has slick coatings on the transmission for better shifting, a stroked and balanced Falicon crank for a total 314cc, a filed shift paw to prevent upshift problems, port matched and all of that, a RAD valve, ceramic coated piston crown, hi compression head (I have 2 heads, 1 low compression and 1 high), heat dispersant on the head and cylinder, etc.. The crank, entire top end, RAD, and the modified carburetor all came off of my '08 that already had those parts installed. The engine mod I am most excited about is the APT Smartcarb that I have on order. In the mean time however (the APT won't arrive for another 6 weeks) I will run a bored out RB Designs modified carb I have. I also took the exhaust system off of my '08 as well as it bolts right on. So it has an FMF and a carbon end cap Leo Vince silencer.




The bike is not completely reassembled yet but the chassis has front and rear Ohlins suspension, SM Pro wheels, some wide footpegs, PDHS, a longer shift lever, Tubless system front and rear, and an Acerbis seat.




I have been off the bike a lot these past few months due to family obligations so I am very eager to ride this upcoming weekend. I'll post another picture once the bike is completed and I actually wash it. Ultimately at 41 and now w/ a family, this will probably be my last dirt bike and I wanted to make it something that I would still want to ride 10 years from now. I think I have succeeded. Someday way in the future I will convert it to dual sport but for now it is a track only bike.

This is a KTM200 motor. But you get he idea. Sexiest motorcycle on the planet, if you ask me. All pluses and no negatives.

Sorry I do not have a better photo, (they're on a disc in storage), but my '03 GAS GAS MC125 was awesome—to me.
They did not get a great rap, but I loved it... The one that worked anyway. We bought two and one blew up twice, the other was a rocket, (almost 38 HP stock). Also had an MC 250 with a four speed gearbox and it was like riding a 4-stroke... It also shat itself.Sad

I have a buddy that owns a suspension company that hooked it up for me, it was still expensive, but worth it. I had a 09 yz250 he did the same way, and that stuff felt like magic. I could hit anything! Smile

Here is an updated photo of my '13 250SX, put together this time minus the chain and forward chain guard.

Built stroked & bored engine, Ohlins suspension front and rear, SM wheels, yada yada. I can hardly wait to ride it this weekend.
