This podcast was great. I loved the talk about the Racer X Top 30 Supercross Riders of All-Time List. RJ believes Stewart is the fastest SX rider of all-time. RJ also states he would woop anyone's ass that was in the Top 10. I love it. That dude is great.

The Rick Johnson podcast is the best thing Matthes has done in a long time. I just love that Rick has such a compelling personality and the ability to articulate his thoughts and history. Take this podcast, and then add in Bob Hannah's podcast and it makes you feel that the current crop of Supercross and motocross racers need to up their game to compete with these legends.

Was pretty good...

Have you guys listened to all the old ones, I mean all the older guys... It's worth it, good stuff... If you watched racing in the 80s, hearing some of the stories is just unreal.

This is what I was referring to the other day. What Steve has done is to begin recording the oral history the sport straight from the participants in some of its great moments. That's a significant and singular contribution to the sport and its fans, and greatly under appreciated, I think. Many thanks to him for that.

Yeah there has been some pretty epic moments in them... the old intro he had for the podcasts, where you'd hear some of the best quotes, i'd smile each time I heard Johnny O say how he got to test the cool stuff, or Mc talking about his regretting his heel injury and pulling off etc... Pretty epic, I actually think Matthes is pretty clever for making a career out of bench racing... The other guys are really working for magazines etc but he's carved this niche out just doing what motoheads all around the world do... Epic job!

Awesome podcast RJ is a class act .I"d like to here his side of the story at the 81 Lake Witney national. I think he blew off an m-80 in the pits next to Howerton and his wife, Jill about kicked his ass!

Had to bump for any fan of 80s moto that has not listened to this. Just off-the-charts cool.

What amazes me about the 80s is how shady all the teams are. The riders were constantly getting screwed. RJ faced so much adversity through his career that would have made so many give up, and he just pushed it all aside. RJ just worked his way to the top, and raised the bar higher for rider pay, equipment deals, and all that.
Very interesting description of being in a Burger King parking lot when it hit him that his career was over, and losing it.

I'd love to hear a KDub podcast. My absolute favorite episode of PulpMX Show was when Factory Phil was in the studio, and they had KDub on the phone. Middle of the Supercross season, and the guy cracks a beer and just starts talking moto.

And Matthes, add me to the list of people who want to hear RJ Part 2.

Listened to the RJ and Hannah podcasts... The moto gods said what they needed to say and were to the point.

Gotta love the old school riders attitudes too - they were not PC correct, spoke their minds openly and were honest. Interesting comments that Hannah and Matthes said regarding the Anaheim retro night a few years back, about track design and the current riders complaining. Personally, I'm in agreement with Hannah and Matthes on that one.

The older podcast with Ross Maeda, Dan Betley, and Paul Thede, were great too.

Keep up the good work Matthes...

I'll take RJ on the starting gate with any of the top ten. In his prime, he was dominate. Interesting to hear Hannah's opinion on RJ.

RJ is my all time favorite.
