Damn, some of you guys overthink everything.. If you could only hear what goes on "behind the scenes" in all of pro sports, some of you might implode. I personally liked it, in fact now when one of my kids are doing what I think they should, I tell my wife "he's yours, you fix it." Great laughs..

Don't have the patience to read this whole thread and I don't think I've heard whats being discussed, but what difference does that make, I mean this this IS Vital right? J/K (sort of)

One thing I can comment on is how impressed I am with Mikes riding both outdoors AND indoors. If they gave a most improved award in SX he should get it. No longer is he just a holeshot artist that gets swallowed up by the pack, he's earned his place as one of the "guys". The fact he's done all this with such a stacked deck (basically his whole career until Genova) and persevered to get to this point is impressive. 99% of the shit you people heap on him is his dad and he has no control over it. I can almost give Tony a mulligan for a lot of the shit I've seen and heard, only because I'm not sure he knows any different. One thing you can say about Mike is that he is pure moto.

Its crazy that Mike will go WFO outdoors in some rough shit but is scared to jump a jump just about everyone on the track is jumping.

Like Genova said, who knows what Mike could really do if the got over that mental barrier.

Mike finished 10th.....Reed finished 9th. The 450f class is stacked and a top 12 finish means you're haul'in. I think Mike is steadily improving on the sx tracks and once he stops giving one fuck about who is on his rear fender he will continue to improve as his own pace. I thought it was a good interview and the fact that even pros have mental blocks to obstacles on the track was insightful.

There are quite a few excellent posts in this thread, you negative haters can take it up with me if you have something against 800. He has improved. I think Tony, MG and Mike are working great together as a team and will get better. I have been saying it for years, as long as Mike stays healthy he will get faster and faster and he is. I think it's cool because the true MX fans are starting to out number the childish 800 hater experts who couldn't podium inthe D class if only 3 were racing it that week. Here's an idea, quit following the few childish haters on here look the facts and form an opinion of your own, in other words grow up if that is possible. Thanks. Rational? When the rider is telling you what feedback the bike is giving him, and you dismiss his opinion because "everyone else is doing it,,,,," ? Tony needs to STFU and jump on the bike and huck a few of those triples himself and get a reality check. That shit is dangerous, and if the bike doesnt feel right, its smart to not try stuff you arent confident about.

They both seemed pretty calm, especially considering how fired up Tony used to get. I think they have a pretty good program and they just need to keep progressing in the direction they're going. No body was coming down on Mike or degrading him, they were just questioning how they could go about supporting him so that he could ride at his full potential. Sounds like they're laying a good foundation for him to grow on.
