I have the 08, they seem a lot like the 07 to me personally. I wish they would make a boot that wasn't so heavy and you could feel more of the brake and shifter. I guess they would call that a shoe-ha. Seriously though, I guess I would rather have the protection but it would be nice to have the protection and not feel like your walking around with cement weights on your feet.

Are the 08's durable?
I read some reviews on the 07's and most people said that they tear apart within the first few months and the buckles break easly.

I have last years and this years. They look, feel, and fit the same, and I love both years. They run a half size small, so order accordingly. Solid ankle with little break in and little wear out and loosening as they get older. I like this years pants better than last years...and last years' is waaaay better than the year before with all the broken belt buckles.

The 2009 F3's are the same as the 2008 F3's.

I love the A-Stars Tech 10's. They are the most durable boot out there.

I tried a bunch of boots!

The day I put my foot in a Gaerne SG-10 was a revelation! Most confortable boots and last FOREVER!

Never gonna buy a pair of A-Star again. (or anything else for that matter.)

I wore them at blue diamond for the demo day... I hated them, hurt my feet. Completely uncomfortable. Then again I usually wear SG-10s so the standard was set pretty high.

Stop staying stupid shit. If they sucked so bad, 75% of the guys racing would not be wearing them.

I love A-stars and still use them but they fall apart pretty easy. The Tech 10's were some of the most comfortable boots Ive worn but damn they didnt last for shit. Went through 3 pairs in no time and then went back to the tech 8s. I have been wanting to try the SG-wos though. They will be my next pair.

hey jerkoff, they do suck. They are a good boot for about 2months of riding......Then they fall apart. They have the softest sole, and weigh a ton. And the reason so many people wear them is Astars has a very good marketing department........Plain and simple.

My last pair lasted a whoopin 4 months before I was completly through the sole and hit the metal thingy!

I've had my SG-10 for over 2 years and they are still in good shape!

STFU n00b! 80% of the teams racing wear A-Stars as well. To say that A-Stars has a better marketing program is shit. They have been the choice of riders for well over a decade.

I thought A-Stars didn't pay the riders but that they wear them because they were the best you could get, well this was a couple years ago when there weren't any boot mfg's that could compete with A-Stars...I had a pair of Tech 8's and yes they do fall apart and the soles SUCK for durability they are heavy too, I sold them after a couple months use and as far as the racers are concerned who cares how long they last they probably get new pairs all the time so durability means nothing to them Hands down (for me that is) the Fox Forma Pro and F series boots have been the best choice for me I love em Cool

The 08 F3 boots are the best I have ever rode with. I have had mine for along time and they hold up great, they're really comfortable and everything Fox makes is top quality. You wont be disappointed with a pair of F3's

I have never had any problems with my Tech 8's or Tech 10's. Riders and teams are not going to use an inferior product just because they are being paid to do so. Performance plays a large roll.

Any light weight and/ or vented boots out there that still protect well enough?

Thanks!

I like the new Fox F3's. I rode with them at the Bootcamp at Broome.
They are snug around the ankle, and I like that. I have bad ankles and usually wear ankle braces. Well the ankle braces wouldn'y fit in the boots. So I rode with out them.
The support was really good, even better than my old boots with ankle braces.
Good boot, but I might question their durability and support as they get broken in.

Tech 10's suck. I have seen so many broken ankle straps on those boots.

I hear SG-10's are the promise land.
