My best is two broken legs. Come up short on a double and frame cased and they both broke i didn't fall off the bike or anything until the corner when i realised my legs weren't feeling to flash. I did both of them the exact same through the growth plate and chipped a bit off my tibia but was still good enough for plaster from my toes to my groin on both legs which wasn't to fun! After 6 weeks got the plaster cut off then 3 months from the date of the accident i was back riding again so i was lucky in that aspect... i guess Tongue

Hope everything heals up good for you and you're back on the bike soon!

Heres the picture to prove it as well Tongue

Wow! Glad to see you're in good spirits. Here's to a speedy and full recovery.

I had several seperate breaks in less than a single year back when I was 14. Broke my left collarbone at the Mini-O's, then my right collarbone in the final moto at the LL area qualifier after pulling the holeshot, my left foot in the 3rd moto at the regional qualifiers (actually never crashed and still finished 5th), got out of the cast the week prior to Loretta Lynn's but was still unable to race, week after LL's I got on the bike for the first time at my track and ended up tossing it away on a large jump during my warmup lap and breaking my right tib and fib. Got out of that cast and moved to 125's. While practicing for Mini-O's, I came over a tabletop to see a downed rider and bike with no where to go. Broke my right collarbone again.

I had a similar arm, elbow injury 10 yrs. later my right arm is still a little weaker than my left. The doctor said it was his favorite surgery as of then. My elbow still sucks and the plate in my arm bothers me from time to time but I still ride. Heal up quick dude.

Ok, who farted???

Sorry, but someone had to do it.

I'm 32 with a wife and two kids and just started MX three years ago and wondering why I ever did it after seeing all these injuries, but like everyone else here once I started I just grew to love it and just can't seem to give it up.

Wow, this is quite a thread. Amazing what some of you have been through. I give you big props for going back out to ride after some of these major injuries.

This thread is a testament on why I'm a supporter for a return to the way MX used to be......less jumps with more focus on riding skills. Until then...the carnage will continue while people ask why the turnouts at local tracks gets worse every year.

The real bummer is people are getting injuries they'll be feeling for the rest of their lives in way too many cases.

Looped out over a small double that I had jumped several times. Ragdolled down the track for about 100'. Broke tib-fib in my left leg, my tailbone, two vertebrae, and three ribs in my back. Surgery with plate and screws to fix the leg. Everything else just healed up on its own. Don't have any lasting disabilities from it.

Did my right wrist pretty good on the one triple at Milestone, 4 pins in there for 8 weeks and a screw holding together the scaphoid. All i can say is damn that shit sucked!!! healed good according to the dr went through lots of PT (did a bunch at home) wore dyna splints and it still doesnt have very good range of motion. Gotta chicken arm the throttle now....hahaha

You def did a number *on yourself, best of luck in healing up!! PT will be painful but tough it out and get that range of motion back!

I have a fused right ankle from a crash back in 2000. Dr. screwed up the 2nd surgery and removed bone. Told me it was ok to walk on after 3 months and the whole ankle just fell apart. Had to go see 2 specialists and their only option was to fuse it. 9 months of not walking on it and I was self employed so no income. I live in pain everyday , but I deal with it. Also broke both bones in my arm 2 years before my ankle accident and still have all the hardware installed. With all the metal in my arm and ankle, everytime my wife turns on the microwave I fall down and piss myself. lol
