Ah, the old trickle-down theory (or tinkle-down depending on your perspective) that failed under Reagan and W Bush. So all the people who voted for that "muslim" Obama, are clueless sheep?
Yup...you hit it right on the head.

The wealthy handle the money the same way everyone else does just better. When they are making less, frivolous expenses are cut out. Say a guy annually buys a fleet of new snowmobiles or UTVs when he or his business is doing well. He has disposable income and passes it the way of the dealership to the tune of about.40~60 grand said dealership keeps employees working full time or at least 40hr a week. The wealthy spending on non-necessities keeps more people working and earning so they will build up disposable income after paying the bills. Maybe it's dinner out once a week or whatever this perpetuates the cycle of earning and spending. Every dollar kept from the government is a good thing. After funneling through bureaucracy about $.18 is left for its intended use. The problem with defining wealthy is it boils down to whomever is making more than the person asked what wealthy is. Trickle down works whether you want to admit it or not. If the household income is up kids are given better allowance they in turn spend more money on things they otherwise wouldn't perpetuating the business cycle.....
Everyone please read again. Its spot on accurate.

You still don't get it.....

When the wealthy stop earning, spending, and investing their money, the lower classes, including the middle class, lose their fucking jobs. Like the saying goes, how many jobs have you had working for someone with an income of $75k?? You can only grow the government payroll so much, despite the muslim's best efforts.

You tax the hell out of them, thereby shucking their incentive to work harder, and they just work less. Or retire and sit on their money. Unfortunately, all the clueless sheep that voted for Obama and his class warfare lack the sense to grasp this concept.

I contend that is what is happening here, and will be happening to others that see big chunks of their disposable income going to the Guvment in the form of taxes.
Another brilliant post!

This has quickly turned into a political thread, for no particularly good reason. Can any of you who are bitching about taxes say for sure that this is the reason the team is talking about closing up shop? If not, can it.
The short answer to your question is yes. Yes it is because of the new tax laws that this current adminstration pushed through. If your opinion is that taxes don't have a direct affect on the economy, well then you are wrong.

Prepper, Love it! At least put your guns in a locked safe so they aren't used in a mass killing. Or, used to kill you like that kid did to his family in NM last week.

Not saying that there couldn't ever be a situation that would turn society around like you are describing, and I agree with preparing for a bad situation. But, I doubt it will happen with a president who will be forced out of office in less than four years presiding over a govt. that his party doesn't completely control with a stock market currently at it's highest in history and the new fillings for unemployment at a 5 year low. Typically, countries with a stable financial system and unemployment under 10% and still declining don't suddenly implode.

But hey, birthers, tea baggers and dooms dayers have never been all that rational to begin with. Just look at where the right wing experts predictions were a few months ago. The gap between all their delusions and reality are very large. Oh, wait, the election was probably stolen. Always an excuse and never any substantive proof. Careful where you consume media, it will consume you.

Here is a good prepper song though.

Might want to check your "facts" there pal. That cool-aid is affecting your ability to type the truth. I know, I know...you got it all off CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the left winged moon bat MSM news outlet. They would never diminish the truth to get i the way of a good story, now would they.

I think the only question that would need to be asked would be "What was JDR getting out of sponsoring a team?" Was there a return worthy of continued investment? Most likely that answer is no. I'd say the same thing for most teams. Just because we have butts in the seats, doesn't mean those people are actually going out and buying the products they see advertised on the bikes. In a few cases, yes... maybe we are selling more Monster or Red Bull... but are we really selling more Suzuki's? More KTM's? Are people actually seeking out to buy them from the dealers who support the race teams? Does Rock River actually get an increase in business enough to warrant spending as much as they do to field a team? What benefit does JGR actually get out of racing SX and MX? These products are on a different level. Look at NASCAR. I'm willing to bet that lots of rednecks purchase Mountain Dew because of Dale Jr. Or they buy Tide because that's who they see on a car. $3 for a bottle of detergent is completely different than $8000 for a motorcycle. They support and have the means to supports those companies who sponsor the racing they like. Face it, not everyone who enjoys SX and MX can afford to buy the products we represent outside of energy drinks.
I can speak from the low end of the totem pole...We sponsored, or I should say supplied JDR with the lightweight lithium batteries for the bikes over the last 3 years. We did not give money and were by no means a title sponsor, just a supplier of the batteries for the practice and race bikes. So what we got was a small sticker on the sideplate and a small one on the semi and that was perfectly fine for us (Antigravity). I did not expect or intended to get more sales due to the stickers, but to just support the JDR Team and get our name out there more and use that involvement in SX to promote our product by association. So the benefit wasn't for sales and was not a money maker just due to our participation. Its intended purpose was just to market and keep our name out there. We could use the fact of our association with JDR and SX when customers called asking about our product, or put it on the website or our facebook so the value was there but not in direct sales from our tiny stickers.

But the effect is somewhat same for most levels. A company is not going to really increase sales so substantially as to make the money back they invested directly. But overall it will (or not) benefit them... I could have sworn JDR was a dealer selling bikes and part the last time I saw their Aus website (a few years ago), but I see nothing of that.

By the way those guys worked so hard it is crazy. Very cool and good people... I thought this year might be the break out year... its a bummer.

The tolerant left once again falls back on name calling instead if discussion. Free discussion is okay as long as it's their point of view. Don't worry lefties we'll keep making this country work regardless of the obstacles you place in front of us. That is what we do, we make the country work while you go around telling us what is wrong with our views and the country. Carry on and someone will no doubt do all the heavy lifting for you again.
