That picture was taken at 4:56pm. I thought this would be after the race or something. They must have been having set up issues. You don't get much track time before the night show.

His attitude seems pretty negative at the moment. I'm a massive fan, and I want him to win, but I wouldn't even bet on him getting a podium at the next race. When he's on, he's on....when he isn't.....well, he's mediocre. Nothing against the 'saps, but I expected Reed would have caught and passed him on the weekend.

I've gotten that impression also. I don't think anyone expected the season to start the way it has and it has caught a few people off guard.
That being said, I honestly do think that some of the 'elder statesman' have their poker faces on and are just playing the first couple rounds out.

He doesn't look good at the moment. I know Chad usually starts of slow but he normally at least has good speed within the ballpark, even if the final result comes a little later. But so far he hasn't looked like a threat at any point. Tbh he looked positively helpless in the latter stages of Phoenix last week.. Hate to say that as I want him to win the title probably more than any other rider. Still early days thankfully.

I would normally say it's the bike (by his own admission he's very particular about his set-up) but I'm guessing it's a combination of things. Mostly bike but maybe a little bit Chad too, like he can't find his groove this year. Different teams I know but Trey and Justin are looking strong on the new model.

Reed has two 4th's and it's considered mediocre?

doesn't say much for the 16 guys he's beating (ie: RV, Dungey, Barcia, Stewart)

give him a couple weeks, he's never been THE guy right out of the first few races.

x2 he ll get things sorted out ,but he does nt seem like he getting on with the bike , but i am sure he is happy enough with the consistent start , would i be surprised if Reed won the next race , em NO

Seems like no one is having luck with their air forks. Except for Barcia and Canard. Maybe they are running Muscle Milk instead of air or fork oil.

Well....you have a point. I don't think we've ever seen him this far back in qualifying though. But we haven't really seen him qualify against such a stacked field either.
