Im new to this forum and have been doing alot of work to my rm125. I just did the Front number plate and fender conversion. Where did you get your number plate graphics? and did you just order 450 ones then trim down the side to look like a 450? Thanks!

The RMZ450 side number plates will not fit so we cut the stock ones so they would resemble the RMZs. I had a PC silencer on it when we cut them & all we did was make a line with a black marker following the bottom of the silencer on the inside of the number plate & then cut that line with a dremel. Then we copied the other side to match the one we had just cut. It probably sounds harder than it actually was.

Awesome. What about your number plate graphics? Did you just order 450 ones? I was going to order a set of 450 number plate decals from decalmx.com then order a set of rm125 for the side plates. Any suggestions on how to keep the cost down? Yours look clean.

No, just order them with striping like I did & not a border stripe all the way around the edge of the number plate & tell the guy to make the numbers smaller & move them up cuz you're planning on cutting the plates & then when you get them just put them on & trim off the excess & you're done. Very simple to do. Feel free to call me with any questions that you may have. 508 243 1232 Mike

Here's my 03. Still pretty stock looking, which I like. I'm pondering a complete make over, but the frame is going to be powder coated over the winter here.

That looks great! How do you like the front brake? I was wanting to run one similar to that when I did my build but ran out of money. Just got braided hoses instead. Also, what seat cover did you use? It looks like the Factory Effex pleated but I couldn't find one specifically for the rm250.

Cheers. I love this bike, cant believe Suzuki stopped making them, puts a smile on my face every time I ride it.

Front brake it awesome! Its a Braking 'Batfly' 320mm with a Braking braided hose too. Any bike I brought now I would put one of these oversized kits on it. Night and day difference.

The seat cover is an SDG and yip pleated, made very well.

Here are the mods to mine:

- Wiseco Performance Clutch Kit with Forged Basket, heavier springs and better plates. (I really recommend this, makes a huge difference. The stock clutch is pretty average)

- Wiseco Forged Piston

- Boyesen Spectra Supercooler Water Pump (these work really well)

- Boyesen Rad Valve

- Barrel ports smoothed and tied up

- Boyesen Clutch and Ignition Covers

- FMF Fatty Pipe

- FMF Shorty Muffler

- Renthal Twinwalls Bars (999 Bend)

- Renthal Intel Levers (these are awesome!)

- Zeta Carbon Fiber: Rear Caliper Guard, Rear Disc Guard, Chain Guide

- Zeta Reversible Axle blocks

- Zeta bling bits: Clevis, brake res covers etc

- Zeta Blue Hose kit

- Braking Batfly 320mm front disc

- Braking Braided Front Hose

- SDG Pleated Seat Cover

- Factory Effex DX1 Graphics Kit

- Renthal Sprockets

- Devol Radiators Guards and Braces

- Devol Skid Plate

Think thats about it lol

This is the Boyesen Water pump, pretty cool:

did you cut the silencer to make it shorter? How did you like this exhaust system?

Yes I shortened the silencer. It was at least 17' long & went out was past the Bridgestone sticker on my rear fender. It was ridiculously long & the bike wouldn't rev the way it came so I cut it in half. The pipe worked tremendous & really shined up top just where my bike needed it.

I emailed Scalvini directly about it because I wasn't going to buy the pipe just because it looked badass if it didn't work on my KTM. They only had charts from an 11 250SX & they looked great to me & much like the curve of the FMF. I'll be testing the pipe & silencer out in Florida in 3 wks so I'll let you know then how it worked. I loved it on my RM & it revved out much further than the Pro Circuit pipe that I was running.

A pic of my RM250 as raced by Gordon Crockard. I loved this bike, superb power and great handling. Now sold to a big fan of Gordon's.
