I don't think I like it. The design is nice and I'm sure the quality is great also since Troy is involved, but I don't think I want to wear seven brand gear with the number 248. I think this brand will die once he retires.

One thing no one has mentioned is the obvious confilct of interest for Mr. Lee.

WIth him having his own line, and creative input on a "competing" line, how does that work?

It's the start of a new endorsement era... TLD guys will b able to wear seven gear as well as tld. Troy makes money both ways.

Remember Troy is also involved in the DC Gear... He has it all figured out and will be making money off all 3 brands.

Looks like 22 gear? really?

To me it looks hideous. Good thing troy didn't mix TLD with this.

I guess there is no conflict with TLD's Adidas and Stewart's Nike?

Why should there be one?

The unintentional "7" logo on the Shift stuff looks way better than the "7" logo on the Seven gear.

I really like this colorway. I still can't seem to shake the thought that it reminds me of the 1990's Suzuki sportbike teams. Am I way off on that?

The man may of bumped his noggin, but still is smart enough to know that after the racing is over there still needs to be income. I like it.

On a side note anyone else noticed how the Nike boots look none MX bootish? They look real skinny, not as bulky as most mx style boots.

If he's a partner or part owner... income is income. If you owned Pepsi and Coca-Cola, would you be pissed they were both making money? Probably not.

I understand why Seven gear works for Stewart beacuse he runs number 7. But why would anyone else run seven gear? It would be confusing to have your actual number on the jesrey and then also have number 7 all over it as well. And what is wrong with a signature series under an existing brand? IMO 7 signature series makes more sense than a new 7 brand.
So One gear should be worn by defending champions running the #1 plate and no one else?

This is awesome cuz now I can wear one TwoTwo Motorsports branded glove and one Seven glove and have my own custom #27 look Woohoo

People run one industry's gear and nobody seems to be confused in the moto industry.

You're bad at math. I think that would be 227. Or 14.5.

don't ruin it for me Gibby!

Hey BTW, didn't Jimmy Button have a clothing line named Red Button 7 or something like that? I can't seem to find anything on it but I definitely remember something like that.

TLD will also distribute the brand to its current dealers and distributors.
There's more to it than just design.
Like others said, One has done just fine, Seven will also.
It's all about marketing now.
Not due out till Sept, so don't be surprised if you see changes before then.
They've only been working with this stuff for several weeks now.

Seven gear looks awesome. Much better than Reed's 2013 get up, in my opinion. I like the more clean look Reedy had in 2012.

I was looking for that myself. I believe it was called Red Button 7.

Did I just read someone actually say that this may be confusing if your bike number is not 7 as well?

Holy fucking shit.

Thats exactly whats gonna happen to the gear.....just like team 22 when chad is done, although both say they will carry on....I dont see it happening especially if they are doing other things like nascar or whatever. In a perfect world that would be nice but its never carried through in the past.

Hmmm...hopefully there is no lawsuit on copy right infringement . I would say they(Troy and James Co) researched the patents before going ahead.

Couldn't find the clip on yoututbe but this topic reminds me of There's Something About Mary when Harland WIlliams' character (hitchiker) goes on about his idea for the 7 minute abs and then completely loses it when Ben Stiller tells him someone might just come up with 6 minute abs....

No, not six, seven!!!

PS: as has already been mentioned, shift gear looks like it has a big seven on it. ha ha!

Some of it looks good and I would definitely wear it. Problem is I don't believe TLD makes fat kid sizes in pants or jerseys so I'm probably out of luck until I join a P90x gym.
