But his starts have sucked as of late in supercross and that won't work with the field being as deep as it is this year.

He is still the best coming from the back of the pack but this year is all about starts and who can be consistent. Which he struggled with on the Yamaha.

I really think the yellow bike has helped him get his confidence back. Im hoping we see the old James and he does some amazing things this year.

I'd disagree with that first comment..... Straight up speed, RV can beat him. This aint 2008!
It's not 2008 but watch who is on top of the leader board after timed practice at each round. Ill be willing to beat James will be the number one guy more then RV will this year. Thats why I say straight up speed, James is the fastest guy in the class.

BUT....Like I said, that doesn't equal wins. Fastest practice laps don't win championships.

I do believe the bike will be a huge difference for him and his confidence which can lead to some good finishes.

Sweet video.

Stamp it.
Who does finish the season these days:

Last years champion didn't complete the season.

The 2nd place finisher was out for 6 weeks.

The people that should have finished 3rd though 7th all went out with injuries (Reed, Windham, Stewart & Canard).

Not even looking at the rest of the field, the top 7 contenders all had serious injury last year.

How many races in do you think we'll make it in this year, before we see serious injury & all the "450 is too much bike" talk gets started?

Bubba's starts aren't like they used to be, he rarely pulls the holeshot in the main anymore... and his whoop speed isn't an dominant either... if Bubba ever gets back to his former confidence level watch out....

Nike too. What I want to know is if it's his own line or is it just for him like his Nike boot deal.

Damn, I really hope James can be a bit more cautious this year, would love to see him finish a season healthy to spice things up, maybe even win a title? Anything is possible and we know he has the speed.

But just to see him at the last race still standing would be a win, but not even Sigmund Freud and colleagues can predict if Stewie mind is upgraded or not...

Practice? Maybe the other guys are trying different lines so they don't crash if something out of the ordinary happens 30 yards ahead of them and they need to take a different rut?

RV had more fastest laps in the mains last year and that is where it counts... Stewart's boat has sailed, he's topping up his pension these days. I hope he can stay fit a bit longer this year, he's still great to watch and adds a lot of excitement.
