Factory?
Words & Photos by Steve Cox

Yesterday in Racerhead a rumore was mentioned that Jimmy Albertson and Jeff Alessi might both be on factory Honda's this weekend, but when we showed up at the track, there were no new factory Hondas under the tent. We asked Albertson about it, and he said the tryout is ongoing and that he and Alessi are both in the running for one spot, and that it's for the last three Nationals of the season starting at Millville. We'll keep you informed as we learn more.

I think he was referring to his vote being Albertson since Alessi has already rode for a factory team.

Team Honda will make a decision this week, and you can expect one of those two in the tent at Millville.

Albee has been stronger than Alessi recently. I think they'll go with Albertson.

Jeff is involved in a honda factory 450 try out ...the players are jeff and jimmy alberston .

last Wednesday they both rode factory bikes at milestone mx park ,( i think) jeff rode the factory bike better then jimmy ! This weekend at washougal both jeff and jimmy were on their own privateer bikes , jimmy rode better ( jeff 7th ,jimmy 6th ) . jeff is currently 9th over all in the ama mx series ,jimmy is out side the top 10 .

Well, I think it is pretty obvious that Albertson is the better rider as of right now. He only trails Alessi by 34 points in the standings and has missed 6 motos this season.

Four bikes at the honda rig. One being ridden.
If they would have skipped this two weeks of bullshit and just put them both on a bike, they would have 3 bikes in the top ten instead of three bikes sitting in the pits.

Personally, I would have did that and gave Collier the other. You can always sit display bikes up in the pits with the graphics and numbers on them. Let the deserving guys ride that sweet hardware thats collecting dust.
