But the people on here hammering Sam Gammon and his work as a promoter, I don't get that. He's a good man, runs a great facility, and has been waiting for a very long time. Just because he comes at helps at Loretta Lynn's had nothing to do with the selection of his track. Lots of industry friends come and help at Loretta Lynn's, and while it's very much appreciated, it has no bearing on what happens with the 12 dates we have for Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

Too funny that there's always going to be a biter bash-train when a track is taken off the schedule, or another added.
Tough crowd DC, LOL!
Having been part of LL for many years I watched many industry people show up to help because they love the sport. Someone needs to contact the Carmichael family and stop them from being suck-ups also. I've seen Jeannie stand out in the sun baking at the finish just to be helpful. Let's make sure that a good deed doesn't go unpunished.
I am as cynical as the next guy but......there are people out there that are really trying to make motocross better.
It has been said here many time before.....those who whine the most have never been in the trenches .....it is much easier to spout off on a forum then put on succesful races. Try it, volunteer to help at a national and get a glimpse of what really goes on.
You are one big ray of sunshine ain't cha?
Yes, it has improved with MX Sports, and I am thankful that we had Freestone for a little while, but the map is still tilted to the right.
Thoughts?
Everything in life is a work in progress. Looking forward to seeing where the new round lands.

Still sucks that Texas is off the schedule.
#notthathard, lets think a little organizers
If that's the case it just pisses me off even more that Texas doesn't have a round.
Count me in for Muddy Creek and Crawfords Creek, Indiana, too.
Thanks Davey, High 5.
Blountville or Muddy Creek, please no NASCAR reference.
I stood right there while an AMA official, paid for by Sam Gammon, tell a father of a 65 rider that, and I quote (when asked why they stagger started 70 65cc riders at an area qualifier) "that his kids safety was not his concern" This will burn into my memory for a long time and if you choose to overlook it, so be it I will not. If you have kids, let that sink in, "your kids safety is not his concern".
I then was told by a fellow racer to go talk to Sam, he is a good guy, been in the sport for a while and would listen to the complaint. I then stood 4 feet from Sams face when he asked said AMA official if he had said that. When it was confirmed by the backpeddling AMA official not saying he didn't say it. Sam Gammon then looked me in the face and told me, and I quote again "you can just leave my race if you don't like it". When I came out of the tower, pissed off from hell, I told the other fathers what the response was and this is what prompted the cops being called to escort the AMA official from the track cause the parent he said that to, told him that he would be talking to him in the parking lot.
I was then approached by an older lady who then pulled me behind the sign up trailer and said that it would be best I left if I wanted to continue to race LL qualifiers because Sam was good friends with Tim Cotter and Davey Coombs and would have my son's name blacklisted (how true this who knows, not really the point, but she worked for Victory Sports).
I then proceded to pack up and leave and drive 5 hours to Archview to race Sunday. I'm guessing everyone followed suite because I was told some 500 riders left behind me.
So, spit what ever BS you want about whos this and whos that. But I have been in the military for 26 years, a police officer for 3 years and currently a corrections officer for the state of Illinois, so my WORD/INTEGRITY is unquestionable or impeachable.
A simple, "sorry about that, lets fix the problem" from Sam would have maybe made some happy, not all of course but he CHOSE to tell no less than 5 fathers to KISS HIS ASS!!!!!!
ALso this has nothing to do with the schedule and what tracks, I could care less. My phylosophy is let whatever track try its best and we fans will just be glad we got to see the best riders in the world ride and not care about, traffic jam this, and where my cell phone coverage this, or my media terminal and VIP section that.
