slow day, figured we could, oh I don't know, discuss some moto..
So what are you most excited about seeing or hoping to see change for 2013?
Besides the obvious of LESS INJURIES, here's my list for 2013:
- Bigger whoops
- More bowl turns where passes can be made instead of this weak 1-lined, no berm stuff
- Canard is BACK, but now we've got 7 legitimate threats for podiums. So even the battles for 6th place are going to be hard fought!
- Looking forward to seeing how team RCH does with Ricky's support
- Maybe the return of the real Bubba if he can get comfortable enough on the suzuki?
- Windham's transfers. Seriously, after he retires they should still have him come out just for the intros!
Overall, I'm just excited that we are only about 2 months away from A1!

Looking forward to Anaheim 1! I'm coming to US first time in my life in january 3 and
2 weeks in california, nothing but MOTOCROSS for me, cant wait!
Hoping that no one gets injured, but mostly that Canard stays injury free.
And seeing some great racing, it could be an AMAZING year for us fans!

I want to see the top guys last longer, and most of all I want to see JS7 kick RV's ass in TO. I was there last year, and it blew chunks without JS7 there.
Personally, I like sand sections..not dinky ones, big ass ones. And a high speed flat track turn with a hard left at the end for inside passing.
The 12 live events (I think it is 12) is really good.
It would be awesome to see them all show up healthy for A1, and hopefully stay that way for at least most of the series.
Also, be more creative with the tracks and have more sand
for fucksakes

Second, I'd like to see Get Your Ride On removed from the show and replaced by 'Here We Go' by N'SYNC. Get Your Ride On just doesn't get me amped for moto.
Third, more colored tires. Yellow, green, blue, red, all that shit.
Fourth, add to the broadcast overlapping ghost-image replays so we can see a juxta' of the lines and techniques different riders use to go through a section, esp. if they're using differing lines.
Fifth, backward-facing go-pros
Sixth, when the leader's 30 seconds out front and putting to the finish line, USE A GODDAMN SPLIT SCREEN so we can watch racing at the same time. Maybe they're already doing this, I don't know.
Finally: boobs.
Pit Row
Riderwise, just multiple winners and riders getting on the podium.
Broadcast - if there is action at the front, keep at least a picture in picture shot on them when you have to go to other action. It's a bit frustrating having to hear the crowd's reaction to know something big is happening.
2. Maybe a track with more than one line that everyone use.....
3. More technical rhythm sections. This will really seperate these guys. This should also help Stewie out a bunch.
4. CONTINGENCY, CONTINGENCY, CONTINGENCY. This field, considering everyone stays healthy, will be more stacked than ever. And we've been saying this for about the past 4 seasons, too. So that means, there will be plenty of privateers who won't be making the main every week like they used to. Top Jimmy, Peick, Blose, those guys will definitely be packing it in early a time or two this year. If we bring in more contingency dollars, the privateers won't be discouraged from coming to the races. At least then they can make some sort of cash. I know I talk about the privateers alot, but in this age, they need anything and everything they can just to find some degree of success.
5. No more 90-degree first turn areas (at least in supercross). Not once have I seen less than half the field go down in those things the past couple of years.
including Pennis, i mean Dennis down on the floor. A little less sound in the pits, hard to even
communicate with someone a foot away. Less Track Hoes ie Monster girls and so on
suppose to be a family sport? Less energy drinks and alcohol, especailly to the kids!!!

i would wish for less injuries, but those are not leaving our sport anytime soon, so i will just wish
for less severe injuries, and more safety for the riders.
im too lazy to look it up but im almost sure that at A1 last year, they had a couple of S turns after the first turn, kind of strung out the pack just a bit, keep that disaster that happened to trey down to a minimum.
i really enjoyed the year that they had different riders design the tracks and such. seems that the tracks were on the "slow" side and semi safe. couple of wall jumps thrown in here and there. anybody remember the matterhorn they use to have at the colisium?
i would like to see riders design the tracks again, if only at least half of them. or have a select panal of retired riders each design tracks like "the legands of sx" or "the legands of mx"
all tracks should be required to be 1.15 in time or more. i'd like to see them at 1:30
i'd like to see new orleans back on the circuit. that city is not fully recovered, would be a good PR move. would like to see an event in NYC, jersey or philly area, maybe even foxoboro. they could even have anaheim give up a round or 2 by having anaheim do maybe a friday and saturday nite double weekends, (and change up the track between the evenings) twice then open up slots for other parts of the country. i know if would be more events but im ok with that.

But I totally agree, less whining and complaining would be awesome! Less pit-hoes would be a big plus too. I mean, we're there to see bikes and racing, if you can't go a couple of hours without seeing some skin that's just sad. And definitely, definitely, what the heck is up with people complaining when you want to stand up for the drop of the gate! WTH is this, golf?
I propose we impose an "adopt a foreign soccer team" initiative, where every round will host 10,000 European or South American soccer fans from some select city. Those SOBs don't care what sport is going on, they'll bring their air horns, chainsaws, fire pits, drums, etc and get the place going! I call River Plate from Argentina for the Dallas round, those guys are insane!
A1 had about 2 turns and single jumps after the 1st turn, they went half track before hitting the tripples
A2 had 2 turns and 2 whoops sections before hitting the tripples.
all the tracks should have a similar set up
You know what they should do is do a 2-deep starting line with the 11th-20th place riders lined up in the second row. this way they are already more pared down. It would probably make the first turn less dangerous too. But the bigger advantage would be that we wouldn't need such a wide start straight anymore and thus this would open up that space to be used for better track designs that would help the racing and passing during all 20 laps of the race. Even if you are in the 2nd row, with a track that has more passing lines you stand a better chance at a good result than starting in the first row and then if you get a bad start you are stuck because there's no place to pass.
That's how they do it in all other forms of track-based motorsports.
Just my 1c worth of thoughts for the day.
