What about Golden Pine in Mississippi? I've never been there but from the pictures I've seen that place looks sick.
Place is sick. In my eyes it is easily a national caliber track. Here's a video of a regional from there a couple years ago.

Im from NE indiana. Yes the mx scene is shit but thats not the crowd that makes up the major demographic. You wanna see people at a pro race? Make the economy shit, have people sell there bikes and get outta mx. Then they can go crazy one weekend a year! I love Red Bud and will attend any pro/amateur events they choose to put on.

I also feel someone should remind Davey again that Indiana is not in the Southeast. Smile

No need to, Jake. I have a pretty good grip on geography.

While the Ironman gets incredible turnouts the Indiana MX scene is horrible and Crawfordsville IN ???? Ugh I would be shocked if this happens before the southeast gets a national. Most IN people go to Redbud since it's only 3 hours from Indianapolis.
I'd do unspeakable things to have a national just a 3 hours drive away.

If there's a national in Indiana I'll be pumped and I'll be trying to qualify.

I want to know if this happens is this track going to have other events be open other times or just be a one race year and that's it ?

Indiana is not the Southeast, though it is a great motorsports area -- 60,000+ at the Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium every year -- and the home of the series title sponsor, Lucas Oil.

Davey, you know I for one am anxiously awaiting an Indiana round. That location will draw from Illinois, WI, MI, OH, KY... And YES, Indy is a fantastic SX town, proof being that my legendary SX Party is turning 13 this year! (I know I'm getting old, but I think it's the longest running after-party) lol I'll let you know where we host it this year as the Ugly Monkey is no more and we have to move it after 7 years of craziness!....Sad

And I'll be the first in line to buy tickets for the Lucas Oil MX too! Bring it!

I'm confused wether this is off topic or not...

How does the size and scope of Loretta's compare to a national? The ranch is Mid-South/South East'ish.

But if sites are open to locations without current tracks, I'd vote for Tunica Mississippi. 30 minutes from a large airport, thousands of hotel rooms, no issues with parking or entry exit roads, casinos, probably money to be had from local government, no issues with nearby business or residential areas, within driving distance of Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Little Rock, New Orleans,

A track could be built half in the Delta (flat as a board) and half on the mississippi bluff (hundred foot tall rolling hills).

Best of all its 20 minutes from home for me!

Memphis and Little Rock aren't really 'hot beds' for the MX community....

North Miss would be cool but theres not any exsiting tracks up there that are national caliber. The only thing with potential in Miss is Golden Pine. Unless K dub would open his track up for a national cause it is national caliber and its just a practice track. Monster and Millcreek in Bama are both good picks. Bremen and Durhamtown in GA are also good ones. Ive been to all the national tracks except for Washougal and Hangtown and lots are 30 min or so from a decent size city. I think the main thing is who has the money.

Meh, maybe maybe not, but I seriously doubt that is a requirement.

I'd think that having 'fans' in the area would be a requirement.
