Durham out at PC?

I just read in Racerhead that Darryn Durham was "out" at PC... does that mean injured or not on the team? I thought he road great this year, couldn't imagine why he wouldn't be back for a second year.

Complete rupture of his achilles tendon. Bummer for him. Surgery then cast for 10 weeks and lots of therapy. I'd guess he could make it back for some of the east coast and should be pretty good for outdoors.

Thats what i thought? i remember an NFL player just getting one and he is out for a long time. Damn that has to be PAINFUL! I remember slipping a pedal on my BMX bike and catching my toe on the ground, and the pedal coming around and driving right into my achiilles, collapsing to the ground in so much pain...and that only bruised it. Dont even want to imagine what a rupture feels like.

Hope for a full and quick as possible recovery for DD, so much talent.

For sure it's 8-10 months to get back to as goo as he'll get he'll never have 100% use. If he were playing basketball or football it would be tough. I ruptured mine at 40 years old as did BUC at 45? I'm thinking he'll be able to ride some by the time east coast gets half way through. He is a youngster! I wish him the best.

But "out" meaning for Sx or as in he's lost his ride? I'd also be curious as to how the injury happened. Boots typically have great protection in that area.

If that really is the full extent of the injury, Mitch is shopping hard right now.

I agree with Jimmy D, other than he had an awesome chance the past 2 years and can't stay healthy. Risk/Reward? I'd pick up someone that will be there every week to put it in the main. No offense to Decotis, he has talent for days, but you have to be able to put that into results for it to last. JMO obviously.

I had a fully ruptured left Achilles tendon with surgical replacement/repair. It took a full 9 months before I had any reliable stability or flexibility.

I don't think Mitch would just get rid of dd but I also think jimmy d would e a good replacement. Either way who does mitch have to pick from? Rattray would also be good.

DD isnt losing his ride. Rattray isnt replacing him either. Tyla being on the team isnt as a replacement for anyone. Also, Justin Hill just broke his wrist this week with surgery potentially needed. The off season isnt so easy to make it through.
