I saw this pic in Racerhead - RV is running gold numberplates on his MEC bike. I can't help but wonder why in the heck don't they use these gold plates for the champs in the regular SX races? Red has always looked weird to me - I think gold would look better on every brand of bike. Is it a TV camera visibility issue?

his whole bike looks awesome and.the gold looks freaking awesome, I think gold may look better on the plates, at least on some bikes. Red looks okay, depending on the bike. Not sure how gold would look on all the bikes, but on RV's looks awesome.

It was Youthstream's way of brown nosing him for achieving (at the time) 5 World Championships.

Looked like the red plates were on for practice. IMO other than the black frame, I'm not digg'n the whole package. Blue hubs are outta place and the gold plates look like crap, and so does the plane jane front fender. Overall package looks thrown together and is not jiving together very well. JMO ....the black swingarm and frame looks killer though!

Considering that red or gold means you are a complete bad ass rider than I would say either one looks good.

Do you guys all wear gold chain around your necks and long droopy jeans with your boxers showing too? wth?

That gold plate and gold on the helmet looks like shit. May as well put a disco ball on his head!

Just for the record, he didnt run the gold on either the bike or that helmet.

He ran the red plates and a new Thor helmet that looks way better than the previous ones. (you knew this if you took a peek at the homepage) Whistling

I think the gold plates look great combined with the gold showa & pipe.

Tastes and colors are always different but for me I would pimp that ride with only 4 colors: green / black / white / gold, I would be curious to see how classy it would look will 3 colors less (yellow / red / blue). Must ask sponsor's brand managers about logo colors!

Everything blue in gold.

The gold looks ok but the white lightning bolts look lame... if they were just normal stripes they would be ok...

I must say though, that this bike with the red plate was the most bitchin' bike design I've seen in modern mx history. Man, that was a great year both for Thor designs and the Suzuki team.
