I got some Vendettas and -1- pair of the NFX's (Blk & White with Gold Ion lense) for the Rip to Cabo ride...the Dragon rep wanted me to try'em out a lil' bit and let him know how they fit in my various helmets...cool. Let's give'em a shot.
Day 1: I put them on Johnny Campbell; because, he was ALL OVER them due to the GIANT LENSE and the ubber-improved Peripheral Vision...he tried'em...I didn't get them back until he left for Morocco on Day 2...yup...they're that good.
I ran my usual Vendettas for days 1 & 2 and kept track of "Johnny's" (WTF?) NFX's and kept him in tear-offs so that he could get a feel for the new system..."Johnny's Goggles"?! Pfffft!
When he left: "Dude, thanks! I'm calling Kenny! That's ALL that I want to run from here on out!"
Day 3: I finally get to run MY new Goggs! Damn, seriously HUGE VIEW of the World...HUGE! The lenses have that "No Glare; yet, Bright View" type filtering that you get from Snow and "On-the-Water" lenses. The 1st time you put them on is just like the 1st time you watched something on your Big Screen in HD...seriously! HUGE VIEW with unbelievble "definition".
As the day wore on and I had to clean the Beach-Sand and Sea Mist off of them I found myself saying,"Damn! These lenses are tough!" They are NOWHERE NEAR as sensitive or fragile as your usual "Mirrored" lenses. My 1st day had a TON of Beach (Sand). That's ALWAYS -1- lense/day w/ most goggles. Not the NFX: Terminator-type lenses!
Days 4-6: Still goin'...just like the Eveready Bunny! Only had 1 Ion Lense and it's was holding up waaaaaaaaaaaay better than ANY lense I've run on ANY goggle...by ANY brand. EVER. No Shit!
Day 7; End up having a REALLY NASTY Rocky Section getting out of La Presa and down the hill into Loreto. Had to change out to the CLEAR lense-Just like buildig a Lego toy..."Snap"...Done!
Oh, and how did it do? Same deal for the Clear lense...
Tough as nails.
Day 8: We rode from La Paz to Cabo: that morning I pulled'em apart (After having jumped in the pool with them on the nite before!) and gave'em a good looking over...
Some nicks and scratches that would have had me tossing other lenses out; but, Nooooooooooo! I actually ran'em for the last day...8 Days in "The Baja!"
Seriously awesome lenses.
NOTHING I've EVER worn has this kind of "Open Perspecitve" as far as your view goes.
Wear-n-Tear: I'm simply shocked. I mean...don't they want to sell extra lenses?
FIT: TLD SE3, Fly Formula & F2 Carbon (All in Medium) had NO PRBLEMS for me.
I'll leave it to one of you that aren't stuck on a tablet to post dome pic's or links.

How does that lens attach? Got a lip on the backside?
I was in Sand, Silt, Dust, Mud, Mist and Water crossings: nothing got inside.
You have a Planet for a head.
I'm jus' sayin'...
So glad you had an awesome time in Baja while the rest of us wasted time trying to work.
Thanks for the product review, I look forward to looking forward through the revolutionary Dragon NFX goggle.
Best regards,
Xeno
P.S. Please change your name to TeamRed before the Baja1000. Security will be very tight around the 1x crew.
Had a great time letting your "11 Time" guy steal MY damn goggles! Hope all is well in Africa (Which means I hope JC11 wins the damn thing!).
Team Red is NOT an option until such time that Honda decides to remember WhoTF they are and returns to the ways of Soichiro.
Until then, I'll continue to honor the program that made me feel like I had a chance when I lined up beside all those SoCal "Cool Guys"
I'm jus' knowin'...
Btw, I -AM- the Security for THE rider that is...1X...
Team OX in the House!
BTW, nice write up on the goggles...Very envious here - sounds like an epic ride down Baja.
Hey "Xeno", did you get my email?
3 of my teammates and I are heading to Baja on Thursday to pre-run. Do you know of anybody else going down there? We'll be back on the 22nd and then I take the last member down on the 24th-1st. He's riding the finish.
I'm riding the first 300-325 miles...
Chris
(sorry for the hi-jack TG!)

I learned about "2X" when I got drawing results on my phone during the Rip.
And, MARIO is ALWAYS on my Front Fender.
Ride fast. Be safe.
Get your OX on!
