I know times are tough and money isn't exactly being handed out like it once was but...why isn't there a feeder series to the nationals, kind of like how AX is to SX..or atleast once was.
There are ALOT of good tracks all over America, and while not all are national caliber..I think a smaller track would make for some good racing.
I love outdoor motocross but there is no denying the fact that the racing leaves alot ot be desired most of the time due to the huge gaps in packs of riders
flame suit on!

That being said if it could be done economically sounds like a great idea..

I know some privateers only do 1 or 2 nationals because of the cost.
Maybey there can be a regional 4-5 state race every 5 weeks during the summer with a big payout. Combine it with a local race. slip in 2-30 minute practice in the am. Have the 1st moto's at 11 am & 3 pm. Similar to the 4-stroke Nationals they had 9-10 years ago.
the racing at the KROC event @ Etown this past weekend looked pretty good in the A class from Woz's videos...
i have no intentions of starting a series as im not in the position financially to do that nor do i have time (real jobs suck lol) but...i think it might be a good idea to help bring MX more main stream
perhaps regional series like the new england circuit could get some local tv time..
Good series,it gives the kids a taste of what its all about, mind you there's no big amateur series like in the US
a couple of guys have made it up here over the years that Villopoto kid, Nick Wey, Doug Dubach and Dean Wilson come to mind...

If the turnout can be nice in this economy then this would fit the bill perfectly.
Visit the one held at Redbud the day after the National.
