Im in school the other week and had a huge arguement about motocross being defined as a sport. Of corse I won in the factual world but lost in popularity do to a 30person vs. 1 person arguement. But I am just curious what is your descripion of MOTOCROSS?

My description-

Motocross- A thrilling sport were 42 riders give it there all, and dedicate almost all their time to train. A bond of man and machine on a grueling yet hart pounding blood rushing corse. Its a sport like none other.

I think you may have failed the math and spelling part of your description. And yeah, that stuff matters.

42 riders?

Now with that out of the way, on to everyone's descriptions.

Don't knock his spelling. How do you know he's not really from Nhusa, Swanzey?

And I'm actually putting the finishing touches on a 200+ page powerpoint presentation outlining the pros of motocross. I'll post in a sec.

Just tell your friends that they are right and that moto is not a sport. People will never understand unless they try it for themselves. The fact that they don't get it only makes the sport that much sweeter...

Motocross - An incredible opportunity to wear tall black socks along with a flat billed hat, accented by a Fox T-shirt and numerous tats. A sport where bros regale in stories of times when we almost rode someone's bike one time, but didn't have a pair of gloves. The ultimate backdrop to roll through the parking lot in a jacked 4x4 crew cab, "Tapout" sticker prominently displayed, and pull some serious motoho action. Oh, and Monster graphics for everyone, bro.

Motocross is sorta like boxing but more like a bar room brawl. You might run over a guy you've never met and then be knocked off the track by your best friend. It's kinda like football in that you wear a helmet in both but, it's probably closer to smear the 'sissy' with the ball because it's you against everyone. You could compare it to baseball but, you would have to let the whole team throw at you at once to know what roost feels like. You might find it similar to golf,,,,you get a trophy if you win either one. Oh, and the winner of most golf tourneys might get arm pump totting all that money back to the courtesy car. In reality, you can't describe motocross to people that have no clue what it feels like to overcome fear and pain. How it feels to fly and sweat and bleed,,, and not be able to wait to do it again. They think you just sit there and turn the throttle. The bike does all the work. After all, they rode a Harley in a poker run once. Now, riding a horse,,,, that's hard work. You'll be sore all over the day after you ride,,,,,

I almost had to drop this B the other day. . . . She gave me the whole "riding dirt bikes isn't hard, all you do is sit down and twist a throttle". . . . oh that got me going.

MX - A sport carried out on a dirt patch that involves going no where as fast as possible.

Participants ride noisy motorcycles they can barely afford and try to avoid ending up in the ICU.
