If Roczen wins two 250F titles next year the shit is really going to hit the fan.

It will be amazingly hard against Tomac in SX and Baggett in MX.

This weekend we saw a comfortable Roczen, something I've rarely seen the entire year.

He was so smooth and relaxed, never rushing.

If he can do the same in 2013 he'll be winning some SX's and hunting for that MX title.

Big difference between going over for a week or for a season.

He looked just as good at his home German GP,so fluent and at home on the 450,I think he's going to be a guy that moves up and on the pace pretty much from the word go

He gets his ass beat around for an entire season and no one says a word. He wins one race on a track he knows like the back of his hand and suddenly he is the best. Tired of the excuses always coming from Roczen and this time its from his own mouth. Liked this kid when he first came over but honestly I am glad he was shown what MX is all about all summer.

And this reaction is exactly why it wasn't a good idea for Roczen to tweet what he did or for Matti to post it.

He has a lot of fans over here that believed he was giving it his all and wanted to see him succeed.... that can change quickly.

Roczen is amazing. It's clear that he wasn't on his A-game last year in America...He just didn't seem like himself. He rode awesome yesterday though.

But I don't think USA's issues were from being in a foriegn land...it was riding on a surface they never ride on....it wouldn't have made a difference if that track was in America or Mongolia...USA would have performed about the same on it.

Roczen should have kept his mouth shut. Sand and mud are the great equalizers.

Well the US riders knows the tracks in the nationals pretty good too, meanwhile it was the first time for Roczen on every single one of them

Tweeting is never a good idea. People take this stuff the wrong way most of the time. I dont see the point of these anyway unless he is still trying to drive home the point that racing overseas is hard for him. Our guys do know Ken, it isnt like this is the first time an MXDN was ever held overseas.

What Ken is saying, ' Team USA got here what I have been getting in the USA' .

Quid pro quo.

Well it isn't like Ken flies over for one race and flies home between SX's and Nationals. I like the kid but he is living here, has a home and cars. He pretty much lives with Andrew Short throughout the summer. He spent all last fall training for SX here. I mean I know this isn't your home and what not but shit he lives here throughout the season so I guess I don't get it. All I hear from him in interviews is how much he likes Cali and all that but when his results aren't great he always goes back to it is hard living here etc. etc. I ain't hating on the kid but shit what way is it man?

Also why doesn't MM keep saying this all the time? He is in the same boat as Ken.

All Roczen said is that it's not easy to adapt to something completely different and new as he did for SX for an example, or even for his first year in the Nationals with climatic conditions he never had to deal with and new tracks. Some of American fans underestimate the the level of difficulty of the World Championship. It simply shows that, as rookies even some of your best riders would struggle on at least three tracks, Lierop, Valkenswaard and Lommel. A GP rider has to ride at least once in Texas or Thunder Valley to really know what it is. It can be hot down here too, in Spain, Portugal, Italy, even in France, but with the Golf stream, the wheather is more tempered.

That is to say, no big deal...

For crissakes!!! This is an 18 year old that just came off his first full season of AMA SX and MX (Finishing 2nd overall in East Coast SX Lites & 4th overall in Pro MX), then schools most of the field on a 250 this past weekend. It probably felt great to tweet that and get it off his chest.

As he said, and has been said time and time again, when in USA advantage to the home guys, when in Europe,it's his advantage,he's won his class outright 3 years in a row now, never lost to another MX2 rider, and this isn't his playground either. He's had a lot of shit all season,I'd say the argument was just just proven

(Not that you'd ever credit the guy any credit anyway...)

True. On your average track, the results most likely would have been very different.

But he still has a point on the home court advantages. That does come into play for either side.

True. But he didn't say a word all of those years the US won in Europe. He does well at all Des Nations races, including an amazing performance by him IN America at the 2010 Des Nations. His performance in 2010 just takes away any credibility of that tweet.

Obviously there are exceptions, but on the whole there IS such a thing as home advantage.

But Roczen is just a very rounded rider, which is what sets him apart from many others.

I said what did he look like? They said "He's just a kid ,but looks just like Chunk from The Goonies".
