I have been waiting to see if anyone here would report what was happening on the line at the start of the 2nd moto at Red Budd. Mike was yelling at James that he was going to break his streak and win a moto, he was also telling james that if he was so much faster he could make a clean pass instead of trying a take out move like in the 1st moto. Many insiders believe that all the smack talk might be why mike didnt pull a clean holeshot.

I like Mike, and Iam glad he was trying to do anything to get a win, even if that ment changing his game plan a little and trying to get into the head of the only guy to beat him.

smack talk = slower reflexes?

A lot of the insiders that I talked to (who are much more inside than your insiders) say the only reason that MA got the first moto holeshot was because of the AMA penalty on JS for arriving late in staging.

that would be a good point except for james hadnt pulled a holeshot all season, so i doubt the gate pick had anything to do with it

insiders like half of the mechanics that were on the staging line listening to it all go down.

Someone mentioned it here the day after the race. It died pretty quickly . I think probably because of the severity of the crash and ensuing mosh down. I hope it's true . Gotta try something to beat James.

The only reason i was willing to bring it up know was because mike looked pretty good in the interview before budds creek, he looked like he was healing fairly quickly.

RV is the next GUY in line... I really like MA but I don't think his results will change when RV goes to the big bikes and JBS is lounging after the SX season.
