Is this stuff the Budweiser of Belgium?
When I was there I drank a lot of it including at the Lommel GP (moto related thread) and it seemed to be advertised everywhere. I even found it in vending machines at an underground cave attraction. I wish we could get it in America. My favorite beer in Belgium though was Leffe double, man that was a great beer, we have been getting the Leffe Blonde over here but none of the other versions.

If you are more into heavy beers you should go out and buy Duvel. I know it is sold in the USA since some guys i know allready found it there. Leffe is very good, especially the double and the triple, but Duvel is a lot better.
Another beer you should really try is a Belgian beer that actually is brewed in the USA. About 20 years ago a beer called Hoegaarden (white beer) was very popular in Belgium. Infact it became so popular that the quality went backwards since there was an overproduction. The guy who ran teh Hoegaarden factory moved to the USA and started a brewery there that brewed Hoegaarden beer, but under another name. He went to Austin and brewed the Celis white. Go out and find one of those as well.
I'm not really a big fan of white beers, but a lot of people really love them.

be carefull when they promoted in shops Belgium beer (mostly it's not Belgium beer at all) :-)
Irish, Dutch (nothin' wrong with it) but not Belgium ;-)
I'm guessing if we lose energy drink sponsorship of the sport it hopefully will revert back to beer sponsorships.
There is a British supermarket close to the highway E40 between Brussels and Leuven, called "Stonemanor".
The store is located in a village called "Everberg".

Anyone visiting from the US should definitely sample a few pints when they get there, actually as soon as they get there
