So they are used to drinking Belgian beer! But if they are in Belgium they should try indeed Jupiler but also:

And for the young Americans, Don't forget that you can drink beer from 16 year and vodka and stuff from 18 year in Belgium and it's all LEGAL!!

Stella is not anywhere near Jupiler, tough.

Spot on with the Duvel, Hoegaarden and Vedette! Carefull with the Duvel 'mericans, that stuff is quite strong. Grinning
You can drink vodka from 16 aswell, not like anyone is gonna say anything about it over here.

And if u drive a bit up north you can enjoy the Dutch herbs aswell. Grinning

Lommel is quite famous for the "lommel gin". You can buy it at the local souvenir shop.

Hoegaarden? Sounds like that should come from the 909, not Belgium.

Whhaatt?? Jamma, Hoegaarden is some good beer!! Just go easy with it though as it hits like a mule when you go too fast with it.

Americans coming over: Grote friet met stoofvleessaus, cervola and curryworst.

Write it down, go to a 'frietkot' and hand it over. You may thank me later or donate to my paypal.

Dodgy Belgian chips? Personally I'd give it a miss and hit the Stella.

I wanted to go this year so bad. I'm surprised at the beers you guys have posted thus far. Duvel is awesome, but most of those (to me) are just mass produced ambev selections. You got the trappist brews like achel, orval, chimay, rochefort and westmalle. Then the huge selection of non trappist abbey beer kasteel, st bernadus, st fuellien, maredsous, grimbergen, abbey De rocs. US craft brew industry is catching up, but you just can't match the sweet clean flavor of a traditional Belgian dubbel or triple. Belgium is one of the cradles of beer creation, enjoy yourselves and visit a monastery while you are over there. How far is westvleteren brewery from lommel? You guys going over have a chance to drink locally sourced, one of the most sought after and critically acclaimed beers in the world.

Last year was such a massive roller-coaster for us Brits!! But made for good atmosphere I suppose.

What I love about the des Nations is that literally anything can happen (example....1994!!)

I definitely think the best team has been picked though.
