How so? It a mystery why they would sign the kid. We have all given MCR props for Alessi but if he's gonna start a thread on a public forum he's gonna get asked about it

My opinion on Friese and people like him in regards to real life outside of moto..what goes around, certainly comes around.

It may not happen right away, but it'll happen.

Reason why freise is taking over this thread is because everyone wants to know why he's employed by this guy. Its great to claim success but its not cool to totally ignore a cancer on his team. Not one word...not one team discipline this season, nothing. just let the guy run loose and screw with riders while going backwards. creates controversy and bad team press and apparently Mike G. is ok with that. They are going "Rogue" i guess.

Obviously, there's been no AMA or Team action against Friese because he's done nothing to merit getting sidelined or canned.

Genova here. Just wanted to take a moment to express how proud I am of my guys this year.

As a team we were the top non factory supported team in both SX and MX, finishing week in week out ahead of the so called big boys.

Our little team consisting of the Hot Tub Guy and the Mini Bike Dad put together a bike, plan, strategy and more that was able to not only compete but every week beat the best factory efforts the world had to offer.

So many people said we couldn't and wouldnt be able to do it, but WE DID!

This is not about bragging, this is to publicly give credit to my guys for putting a bike on the track that never, NEVER boke. A bike that was able to rip more holeshots than any other bike and our rider who NEVER crashed or faltered.

Yes Mike got beat by Ryan almost every race, but to lose to a machine like Ryan and only Ryan, is no small feat, as that guy and his program are simply amazing.

With that said and I could say a lot more, Congrats from me to Mike and my guys for doing what most everybody said couldn't be done.
Being a Spokane local, I'm happy to see MCR have the success they did this year. Undoubtedly, Mike has changed his mentality. I no longer see the "believe the hype" but instead someone who now realizes how lucky he is to have the opportunity and talent to race professionally at the level he's at.

Friese ; well, that's a whole different story Wink

Yep, and it's funny how fast a bandwagon can turn into a lynch mob.

Sure, you have the right to ask, it is open for discussion. However, if you view the photo trail fron Glen Halen, you will see that VF was protecting himself, without doubt! Racers bang bikes & bars all race long, every race and crash and little discussion, unless VF is involved. Malcolm Stewart caused more crashes this season then any other racers on the track, and nobody is talking about that. When Josh Hill went down in Southwick, he came over to VF and apologized to VF in the pits for causing the crsh, THEN publicly blamed VF. It is easy to blame VF for the tangle, instead of taking blame for your own mistake.
Matter of Fact, VF was taken down in Lake Elsinore, but you did not hear him blme the dude that T-Baned him! He got up, and finished the race. It is MotoCross, not golf!!!

Congrats to Mike for a great MX season and Mike Genova for his support to his riders, team and the sport as a whole.

Continued best wishes in 2013.

Mike finishing second in the 450f class series without factory support is an achievement that few mx'ers could accomplish. There's a few factory mechanics that couldn't assemble a bike that could beat Mike's black Suzuki.

Don

What would you expect Genova to do. You and your bunch was involved in the incident. It was all caught on video. What would you have done if Genova called you and ask you to address the issue?

It's racing, and sometimes emotions are high. You out of all people should know this.

Leib you are very wrong about your ugly, stupid frivolous accusation of me supporting and promoting any kind of intentional wrong doing by any rider I hire or support.

I am involved in motocross to help kids reach their dreams and I have spent a ton of my own time, energy and money to accomplish it.

Question, do you ever speak the TRUTH? "Alessi's run a 100 percent of their own program." SURE!!!

And for the record, if I was in favor of having my riders or employees take people out or inflict any damage or pain to another person I would have directed them at YOU not your son, as he's a good kid..

So a team owner, who I am sure puts up a large portion of the budget out of his own pocket, comes on here to congratulate his top rider for an excellent 2012 season.

And it turns into a VF/MCR trash contest, for a rider who everyone knows bought his "ride". Does VF has any relevant part of the success or failure of the Alessi/MCR team?

Why do people have to always want to piss in someone else's Frosted Flakes? So VF is a douche, why does it have any relevance to Alessi having a great season? If the riders are as concerned about VF and his idiot tactics, then karma will find him. Yes they are on the same team, but this thread was not about the team as a whole. Just a thank you to the top rider.

MCR and Genova took a chance on Alessi, and it was a success for all of them. So congratulations and hope you can keep building for 2013!

It does coincide with other opinions i hear/see of moto concepts. Poor form, but i see why the alessi family feels comfortable with this type of person as a boss.
