As a general rule, the north and south of Italy hate each other, wouldn't suprise me.

Legend? DeCoster, Robert, Carlquist, Thorpe, Malherbe, Jobe, both Everts and as much as I hated him back then Bayle. Those are legends. I used to knock the young Everts for not racing US, yet would surley give him the props before Cairoli. Through no fault of his own he is just a big fish in a small pond. Like my dad told me "Son being best of the worst is nothing to be proud of."

I agree that Cairoli is quietly becoming a legend. He just keeps winning and winning, with not much fanfare. He seems like a humble, reserved individual, which IMO is derserving of much respect.

Can you really call some one a legend (ie Carioli and Everts), that never raced against the world's best?

Great Gran Prix Champions? Yes. Legends? No.

So couldn't the same be said about RC, Stewart, Reed, Rv, RD?

Great AMA champions, Legends?

None of them have beat AC or Everts in a series..

He's dominating the GPs that's for sure. It will be interesting to see if Herlings moves up to challenge him or moves to the US.

You claim your American guys are better but there is no proof at all. You don't know if they would beat him in a World GP series.

Pretty arrogant to claim to be better than the world champion without ever beating him to the world championship.

Cairoli is a six time World Champion, he has raced the best. The guys you claim to be superior to him, have the option to race him in the World Championship. They won't take it.

They are great riders too no doubt, but until they all race the world championship you can't say the American's are any better. AC is tough to beat in the World Championship. They might be able to do it but you just don't know.

Dungey is fast becoming a legend in the US too.

It's a real shame that with the invention of the Internet that allows people who love motocross from all
Over the world to communicate at the click of a button about their beloved sport that some chose to do nothing but bitch and argue. I'd be surprised if this happened in other sports.

I believe he's staying down a year, in the mx2 class I mean, and with Searle and Roelants moving up to the mx1 class next year, he's got even less of a challenge next year. But saying that, someone always finds a way to step up.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Opinions are like ass-holes. Everyone's got one.

Exactly. Every champion is a legend in their own right.

I meant when it's time for him to move up to the 450. That's usually when a rider decides to come to the US or not. I would be fine with either one honestly, because regardless it'll make for better racing.

Roczen is riding the German GP in a couple of weeks in MX1. That will be really interesting.

TC222 is a fucking badass!!! Congratulazioni on #6!!!

If he was coming to the states he would've by now but honestly can you blame him?? Leave his home, friends, family and risk financial loss or physical/mental damage.. Yeah that's a tough one...

Would love to see him granted an outdoor only contract by KTM in the U.S., but that's only a dream...

What the hell is all the disrespect towards a World Champion that seems like a good person?? What the hell did he do to anyone & are any of the shit talkers former World Champions?? Crickets,,, yea that's what I thought.

Oh right yea sorry, and agreed. If he stays over here, he might be the one to take AC222 all the way. And that will make for an awesome series.

Roczen's top 5 in the US, the German GP should be an easy win for him.
