Congrats on another #1 Plate!! She mentioned earlier this year that this would be her last year riding WMX, any insight to what she will be doing next year?

Didn't I read somewhere that this is basically the last year for WMX anyway?

Taken from the story in the link above.

Fiolek, only 21, Tweeted in May that 2012 is her final season in WMX. She is sticking to her word, but has offered no information regarding her future plans.

"Absolutely! It is my last season in the outdoor series but certainly not racing! You will have to wait until November, sorry."

"Powder puff" LMAO! that reminds me of the oldschool days. Bob i will still never forget Doreen Payne splitting her pants right down her buttcrack at Baylands. Wed. night races there were awesome.

Holy shit OC,Baylands Wed night races bring back some memories!! The first time I went to Cali from Canada I stayed in Mill Valley and used to hit Baylands every Wed. Once the lights came on sometimes that place turned into a gong show!

Still have trophies from that place lol!

How does the women's pro racing in Europe compare with USA? Do the best woman come to America to race like the men? Is Ashley heading overseas? Powder puff or not, that double a few of the gals were doing Saturday was for real. Doubt 0.1% of this Vital population would sack up for that one, for sure me included.

Anyone have a pic of Tara or Ashley jumping the double in the race? I saw a pic of TG3 hucking it in practice, but by race time the face was kind of rutted. I was pretty surprised to see Ashley jump it as often as she did. Or was she the only WMX rider to try in the motos? Did she jump it in moto 2?

Were all of the 250 guys hitting it?

highsider that would be awesome and im a huge fan of hers but shes still way off pace. if shes factory though she may have a chance. I could see her getting into other endeavors like pastrana. maybe not as wacko crazy stuff, but shes just a nice person i could see her do something outside of the sport and just race for fun anymore....

that or shes heading overseas which i thought ive heard before......

Im not denying Chiara speed...but I think Ashley was riding for the championship...she dropped in to the 3:03 with Chiara second moto...but she didn't have to win..she only had to beat Patterson. It would have ben fun to see them race against each other through out the whole season!

They're trying to figure out somewhere appropriate for it, and it sounds like discussions are ongoing. Basically, I've heard that they feel there's no room in a one-day show for the additional motos (which I also guess means no 125 class). But I have heard that they may still have the women at selected races, and have some other rounds at places like Loretta's, the amateur race at Daytona, etc.

I've heard that this was Ashley's last race...and we'll hear sometime in November on what's next for her. We didn't get a chance to talk to her after the race. Honda PR said she wasn't feeling well and unavailable (and there is some history of that). She also missed the awards ceremony Sunday night.

Ashley was never on pace of the FIM women's winners when she used to race over there. Just saying, those Euro chicks are BAD.

WOW, Ashley was only 16 or 17 back in 2008 when she went over there and kicked some butt. Maybe not wins but she was on the podium several times.
