Dungey is the only rider in the 450 class to score points in every moto this year!

Pretty amazing when you think about it.

And no result worse than 3rd to boot.

He's consistent, and fast. KTM should be happy with him, and his results. He, and all the guys on that team made it look good this year. I like RD5, he seems like a really good kid, and his head is on straight. Congratulations to Ryan, and KTM for winning the championship

It's very impressive when you look at the points from each Moto.

Dude is a machine!

He is an incredible rider. And I would say, from my experience, the most underrated rider in the field.

No, that's not the only reason. He's also mild mannered, gives boring podium speeches, and his style lends itself to being slower-loooking than the other guys. He's not my favorite rider, either, but he's an incredible rider and doesn't get as much credit as he deserves, imo.

Is this a first? Has there ever been another year where only one rider scored points in every moto?

No disrespect to Dungey at all, but for only ONE rider to score points all season proves that 2012 was the year of injury. Luckily he made it through the outdoors healthy. I wonder how many riders got a DNF or a DNS due to injury? Congrats to Dungey and the whole RedBull/KTM team.

It is very impressive that KTM didn't have any DNF's with that no.5 new bike

I can agree with that.

It does not look good for the US's depth.

He's asking if there was ever a year that only one person in the entire class scored points in every moto. Dungey is literally the only person in the entire 450 class to score points in every race this year.

The other way to look at that is that,Dungey is such a smooth and consistent rider that when the other riders are riding at that level they tend to crash and get hurt allot more then he does.

I have always said that in the end Dungey will be the guy with all the records and all the titles because he is one of the best all around riders. He might not have the raw speed that 1 or two other guys have but it's not always raw speed that wins titles.
I think he has the complete package of what makes legends.

Mike would have scored points in every moto if not for his single mechanical DNF.

In 2010, Brett Metcalfe and Nick Wey were the only two riders to score points in every moto.

In 2011 Ryan Villopoto was the Only rider to score points in every Moto.

So, I guess it is not that crazy. It would be way more crazy if 5 riders scored points in every race compared to just one.

Good chance Dungey will have his hands full next year with healthy RV, Reed and maybe Stewart, not to mention, the 250 guys moving up. If he can beat all those guys he will surely be the best.

How about in a couple more years with RV, Dungey, Reed (if he's not retired), JS, Barcia, Blake, Tomac, Canard, and Deano? Deepest field ever? You better have your starts down pat that's for sure
