Baggett just proved 3 things.

1. He is not folding under pressure.
2. He is the correct choice for MX2 at the Des Nations.
3. He's got the best fitness in the class.

I was really pulling for Tomac, but damn that was an awesome championship ride.

Poor team effort by the Geico guys. Eli had to spend way too much time and energy with Hahn and Barcia. He did have the pace to win.

If there was ever a time to deploy the in-helmet radios, that was it. Might not have changed anything, but you never know.

Barcia was only 4 points behind Tomac going into the moto, you can't fault him for fighting. He has just as much of a right to fight for the title as Tomac does.

They did not stop at the podium, they went straight to the pits. I figured Eli might go straight back to cool off but maybe Barcia was feeling the heat also.

I personally never questioned Blake being on the team. I think Tomac is the better choice than Barcia though but at the time the team was chosen Barcia was on it so........

From the rulebook.

2.4 Intravenous Hydration

a. At no time during the event may a rider receive any type of intravenous hydration, unless such hydration is deemed medically necessary by medical personnel as a result of an emergency medical situation (i.e., heat stroke) encountered by the rider during, or as a result of participating in, any practice, qualifier, moto race or other activity in the event.

b. Once a rider receives such hydration during the event, the rider will not be permitted to compete in any further event activities including, but not limited to, any further practice, qualifier, moto race or other activity in the event, unless and until the rider is released by the medical personnel who treated the rider for the specific emergency medical situation at issue.

c. Any rider who has received medical treatment from the event medical director and where such treatment includes the recommendation that the rider be transported to an emergency medical treatment center, that rider shall be prohibited from competing in any further practice sessions or motos at that event.
