Of course, I've said it many times.....
6 rounds WMA National Championship
6 rounds 125cc National Championship
Newmann, I want to say the qualifying times were good enough too, but don't quote me on that.
You're paying for the TV talking-heads and crew and you are already paying them for those extra hours...beyond 8... &...get this...when do ya think they take lunch?
If I'm not mistaken, it's during the WMA race(s).
I'm pretty sure that all the financial benefits of a 1 day program "go out the door" once you start paying your media folk a bunch of OT...etc.
Please, be sure not to "Step in it" by commenting on making the Camera-folk and others "Salary"...good luck with that. You'll, LITERALLY, have to argue w/ Ed Asner and his ilk.
Again, and NOT TO BEAT THE HORSE any-more than it already is...
DC, and I know this for A FACT...would love...
A 2-Stroke race.
A 85 and/or 150 race...maybe even moto-celebs on'em...?
2 Moto Format dedicated to the Women.
We both have daughters; so, the implications are obvious.
Note: This is from "what if" talks over the last few years since DC was absolutely INSANE enough to take a meeting with Mr. France and say, "Ya know, I've got some ideas and I really want to do this..."
You would literally SHIT YOURSELF of you knew some of the things that he's tried to do..."even working with the enemy"...if you will (No, that IS NOT a stab at Bud...or ANYONE you're gonna think of!)
Sometimes I think he should let the France family just have it all back and then watch the threads & Heads in here explode.
But, like I and others have said...too many times to count...
This is Motocross.
This is Important.
VERY Important...to Davey.
It really is a Legacy.
Hell, even Jody would have to agree with that (Oh, hell, did I really just do that? Damn, I won't be able to show my face at REM/The Glen until NEXT-YR's 24 hour race. Damn!

Some people are happy with that, i cant see how its a good thing for the entire motocross community.
Hangtown: 44th Geiger
Freestone: 51st Patterson
Thunder Valley; 51st Patterson
High Point 66th: Geiger
Red Bud 64th: Fiolek
Washougal: 46th Fiolek
Southwick: 47th Fiolek
The closest time gap was at Southwick where Geiger (2:08.628) was .937 secs off Joey Peters (2:07.691) 36th OA time but there were still 11 riders between her time and the last qualifying spot.
The biggest spread was at High Point where Geiger (2:27.991) was 7.856 secs off of Ignacio Pazos (2:20.135) who had the 36th spot.
Other than Southwick all the others rounds had a gap from the top WMX time to the 36th spot of between 2 and 7 secs.
Do they run womens swimming with the paralympics because they dont swim as fast as the men??

I've said it before, I'm impressed when the girls run with the boys. If I had a daughter, I would encourage her to run with the boys. I wouldn't watch the girls class unless my daughter was in it, just as I wouldn't watch the local C class unless my son was in it. That's my time to get food or beer.
Not trying to be an ass, just being honest.
These women are the best of there gender and are true professionals. Compare apples to apples is all im saying.
Unfortunately it looks like the highest level of womens motocross will be a sunday race with a bunch of 6-16 YR old amateur riders and past it vets riding for the fun of it the day after the big show. How this is supposed to help progress these girls to a level you consider "interesting to watch" is beyond me.
But each to their own.

Fist City MX
It is certainly not necessary to keep up with Reed or Dungey. Using that standard, there would be five on the gate when all the top riders are healthy. Any rider who qualifies for a main event in either class is an accomplished rider.
I personally believe Ashley and Jessica would have more fans cheering them on if they were working though the pack in 25th than running away from a bunch of gate fillers that couldn't run top ten in a good local am B class race. Why couldn't a sponsor offer at top female award?
I am also not a fan of the argument that someone deserves the opportunity simply because they work hard and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get there. Sometimes you have to make intelligent decisions about where you spend your time and money. If you want to spend it somewhere for your own enjoyment, dont expect the world to change because you think it is owed to you.
Pit Row
I don't think it's about a sense of entitlement, it's more a case of comparing like for like. I just see it as a backward step for the sport as a whole to potentially exclude 50 percent of the population from the pinnacle of the sport and say well hey go race with the ams and vets. What little kid is gonna think you know if I train real hard and dedicate my entire life to thos one day maybe I can race 24 hours after everyone's gone home from red bud.
But yeh a 125 support class featuring 5 yr old clapped out bikes and pros who also can't qualify in the top 40 is a much better idea.
I dont want to see a 125 race or vet race at the nationals, let the big boys race and leave it at that.
Looks like she was wrong...
