That an AMA MX National started inside of a staduim and then runs outside of the staduim for the rest of the track?

I know that the Elsinore truck track is not the LA Coliseum, but it does have a fence all the way around it.

The Daytona SX comes close but it always stayed in the infield.

Anyone who raced Corona Raceway on Friday night back in the day would know what its like. Cool

Just got back from the first press ride of the morning going back in a lil bit... Heard some good things from some of the riders about the overall lay out. But the truck track area the Mulch needs to be better mixed in. It got blown outta the way and back to the hard base in that area where it was abit one lined cause of the deepness. I believe Peters was on his way to work on that before this afternoon's session.

Elsinore and dirtbikes hold a lot of heritage. For that reason, I think it deserves a chance, just like I think the Southeast MORE than deserves a National. The fact that Budds Creek is the closest race to Florida is a tragedy. (12 hr drive)

It starts in the truck track, goes out to the rest of the track then comes back in. Gonna be different.

half of torcs tracks are like the lucas offroad series, hardpacked and very snotty when watered. im really surprised they would till in mulch on the truck track.

Give them a chance Davey knows what he doing. Gio has worked his ass off for this race. Its not his fault for what he has to work with. Lake bottom is lake bottom. I wish Gio the best.

Is there still issues with Glen Helen? Can we just go back there already?

There are two tracks that always make me think of American MX...

One is Glen Helen...

The other is Mount Morris...

Seriously guys, the Glen Helen thing is getting old...... im going there Monday after the races this weekend, i will strap on my Go Pro so you guys can see how it is and contrast and compare the two......by the looks of things lately should make for more pages than a Jason Lawerence comeback

Jesus it's just an opinion. It just looks like a supercross track that's waaaaaaay too fast. Maybe it won't be so bad and I do wish Gio well too but I feel like it isn't the best track for a national...

in the last 3 or 4 weeks? its not like this track's dirt has been prepped like this for very long

regardless, who the f..... cares. everybody has to race the same course. the facility is immaculant

I have been following Pro MX since 1977 and cannot remember another instance. Maybe BobbyM or FTE can say how the start was at Sears Point,(not a stadium either) but other than that..........

Is it just me or does that track look REEEEEEAAALLLYYY LONG?I cant wait to see what theyve done with it andwhen I get back to 100% Lake Elsinore is the only place I will be riding to get back up to speed. Ther traction at that trrack is grrrrrrrrrrrrreat, you could feel such a throaty pull on the engine (2 stroke) and the bike would just want to wheelie....even when it driees out on both surfaces, for some reasong I ride exceptionally well there ..... and since bumps are a little harder to form there it will be good for my leg, just cant come up short.


You know what I really love about that track, even before when it was the old place......was how you could REALLY wring your bike out on that track and once you got into a flow, it was like buttah.............no energy consumed, I always felt like a hero out there.....

Everbody has that ONE track you can completely haul ass on right?
