Not sure about that...
He seems like a very good fit to be a KTM second 450 rider...

I would imagine he's got better (higher salary, probably factory team) offers from the GP side.

Totally speculating here but if he wants to stay in the US, I could see him on a Langston-Witt ride or so. What other options are there?

I believe Roger confirmed on DMXS a few weeks ago that they won't have a second guy on the factory KTM team since they couldn't get Deano.

Not many spaces in the GPs for him either really with Searle, Van Horebeek both to Kawaski and Roelants at Yamaha .. the younger guys are moving up and all getting factory rides.

The talk is Nagl has the second honda ride. KTM has De Dycker. That still leaves, Phillipeaerts, Leok, Boog, Barragan, Strijbos, Guaneri, Aranda all looking rides.

Maybe he could get the suzuki factory ride but it would be tough competition too to get it from the guys mentioned, he may have to settle for a non factory ride in the US or GPs.

JGR, Factory Suzuki(Unless metty is resigned?), Rockstar Suzuki?, JDR KTM?

I could see Pro Circuit's 450 ride opening up for him, since Tickle will likely be elsewhere and Pourcel most likely isn't coming to the states.

I think he needs that little bike SX big bike MX kind of deal. Im sure PC could deliver that, or maybe a vali deal. Dont think hes ready to try and race 17 SX races. Let him do half the sx while he continues to hone his skills at SX. He has been looking more comfortable for sure. Maybe the Langston team can offer that as well.

Funny-thing about the avail/not avail Factory rides in Europe...

There are MAYBE 5 guys over there that're as fast/faster than Tyla.

add in De Dycker Strijbos, Van Horebeek, Leok, Boog, Roelants, Goncalves who can all go as quick on their day...

I think he had most of those guys covered at the MXdN last year, but that's just one race. People said the same thing about searle after his trip over here, but most of those people are quiet these daya.

That may be, but all the contracts are signed. People aren't gonna kick someone off their team just because rattray just now decides that he wants to race over there next year.

He would have better luck getting something decent in the us anyhow.

Not to bash the team that had Searle signed for 2010 but he looked like he could have done better with a Moran working his bike and a 97 toyota truck as his Rig.............If Searle was on a 5 star team like his competitors in 2009-2010 you would have seen a completely different personCool

Like Watson said....I would think Mitch would put him on one of his 450s. He knows Tylas work ethic, and is fast.
I always thought Rattray would be an excellent addition to a 450 line up.

A lot of those guys didn't race the nations...

Searle never really got a fair shot in the US, between injuries and team issues. He won more GPs that Rattray did in 2008 though.

And finished his first AMA season 6th while Rattray was 9th.
