I heard late Aug early Sept for the Honda to hit dealers. Right now as far as I know there are only a handful of 2013's CRF450Rs floating around - and most the them are pre-production/crusher units. (first bikes off the assembly line) I had the chance to ride one last week at Milestone - very nice machine - I had only good things to say about the bike. Slower or big guys like myself might need to add a tooth to the rear sprockets but that is an easy fix. We did a few stories on the bike and a video over at motocross.com with Travis Preston

i saw this video, very good, Well being it is late Aug now, does that mean it could be anytime? I am guessing you got your info from the honda guys when you rode it, so that should be good info I would think?

Late October is brutal...

It is a 2013, it is pretty amazing how racers want the bikes sooner and sooner each year. Back in the old days 80s-90s, Bikes might get teased in July-Aug, mags would get to ride the bikes in Sept-Oct and then they would hit dealers Nov-Dec.

Fairly soon they will start coming out sooner and sooner until they skip a year or have two bikes in the same year. There are already rumors that Yamaha might release a 2014 in May of next year. I think Ping Tweeted it.

It is a good guess the 13 CRF450R will hit dealers in the next 2 — 3.875 weeks.

Actually, I rode a 1983 KX125 at Loretta's in 1982.

That's just how Mr. Honda Wing rolls. He'll buy his twice piped CRF for the revised pitch, roll and yaw and then put a single pipe on it and throw the balance all off.....lolLaughing

Question about the 2013 though, with the 2 lb weight savings in the air forks and 3-4 pounds added for the exhaust, how does this affect the overall handling? I realize the shorter cans move the weight forward but it's still added weight at the rear. Stiil comes in as the lightest 450
