I just had to say it. The problems it's having with operation under the most common browser and operating system is a joke.

Never had a problem here and I'm hooked on this Vital crack. FF3->Linux. I am curious if it could be bad code in some of the advertisements. Just curious, are you blocking or non-blocking? Do those people blocking not have a problem?

Never seen an ad, or an error, blocked as safe as Fort Knox.

Void, some people are to fucking dumb to even know how to block shit. *cough* and they're IE users.

It's probably that Darkmane horseshit. Hey, if anyone knows who's behind that character, kick him in the nuts for me.

No, i think Guyb is using it to weed out the knuckleheads Tongue

The easiest way is to be running Firefox and use the Ad Block Plus extension, you wont see ads on just about ANY site, it will speed up your browsing and you wont be annoyed, and its safer. You can even go as far as to use a custom block list.

It has nothing to do with being a knucklehead. IE is the most prevalent out there. It'd be smart to design a system compatible with it.

And, Firefox isn't issue-free. I used to run it at home, and it often fell behind the web developers, as they often develop against the Microsoft OS and IE. I'd often run into incompatability issues, plug-in problems, etc.

I suspect it could be some bad ad code, but I'm not enough of a programming propeller-head to know for sure. The guys on our ad/programming side are looking at it.

There's Java here? I see flash and a lot of JavaScript but no Java. Actually I don't see the flash either (flashblock). Maybe there are Java ads that Ad-block is getting.

Well, let me know when you figure it out. I've jumped over to Firefox, and it's clunky, not to mention missing a bunch of plug ins.

I am currently using Safari on my Mac with no problems. As a Linux (Slackware and Ubuntu), Mac, and Windows user I find the arrogance of these "I use Linux and firefox" users disgusting. As far as I am concerned, you elitist asswads can shove Linux up yer ass. A site should work and be compatible with IE, if it doesn't it needs to be fixed.

X2.

The 'net's useful when it's accessible to the average user, not just for geeks that live and breathe different OS's and browsers. In project development management, that's one of the biggest struggles I have with the technical development team: getting them to see their design from an average user standpoint, and not from a developer's shoes.

Just because a guy isn't savvy when it comes to the internet browser plug-ins doesn't mean he's dumb, either. Hell, he could be a brain surgeon that doesn't have time to figure out how to get a stiffy from installing Red Hat.

I'm saying the Mac users are the new elitist's. Seems every one I know with a Mac drinks $6.00 coffee and is a manscaper, or a hairy woman proud of her b.o. and training for a triatholon.
