How irrelevant is a C class championship?

only one rider has ever won a C class title and gone on to win a 2nd title at LL's, and that rider no longer races.
Also, only one rider won C class and went on to pro success, that was Jeremy McGrath

Point is, winning C class means dick.
Been what, 31 years of LL's, so there's been well over 100 winners of C classes, and the rate of success of those riders is 1%?

Who cares, winning C class is more of a curse than a blessing
Actually Clark Stiles won a "C" class championship in "94ish? and went on to be a longtime top 100 number holder. Also he won the 25+ class last year too. LOl, Just busting your balls Dave.

I realize that it does not change the overall stats much, but there were 2 riders that won the C class and came back to win another class.

bruce
Corder did as well? OK, that's two
Clark won in an age group, I guess that technically qualifies, but I was talking about overall skill class career success and going on to moto-stardom, and only one guy has done that from C class, MC

What ever happened to Pasquale Morocco out of Vorhees, New Jersey? I was convinced he was destined for stardom.

Just to complete the list, throw Top Jimmy in there as well. But that's it, less than a handful of guys that did anything after winning C class.

People posting' in this thread that're venting, ranting or spewing shit should just back the Fuq up...

Where we're you 5, 10, 20, 30 years ago? (yes, I raced the 1st LLs...30 YEARS, ago!)

If you don't know enough about HOW MUCH BETTER the actual enforcement of this has gotten...?

Well, then you are a Noob that deserves the Noob response:

Someone, get the Gimp!

3 years ago- Racing sx and outdoors(actually qualified for a few nationals)
5 years ago- Racing 450 B stock at LL.
10 years ago-Racing 85 12-13
20 years ago- Racing a pw50 (made LL for the first time in 94)

I dont think it has gotten much better. The RPV system doesnt work. How many AMA tracks are there in CA?
Here in Mississippi there is 1 and there is 1 in Louisiana. I dont think there is any in west TN and maybe 1
or 2 in Arkansas. So how does RPV move riders up in these areas when they never race AMA??
I went to a local race after the regionals and a C rider that finished in the top 3 at LL was running the same lap
times as me. I won the A classes that day and I had a pro license up until this year. To me that is wrong. A
C rider shouldnt be able to go that fast. Like I stated before it doesnt make much of a difference to me on who
gets to ride the C class but I see it hurting the sport at a local level. And I believe that the local level is the most
important level of the sport. If you dont have new riders the sport dies.

Are you aware of how many people were DQ'd for LL's?

Thankfully, in most cases... BEFORE LL's, too!

That's exactly what I was going to say!

It doesn't matter how MANY WERE DQ'd, obviously not all were, nor the correct ones.

Doesn't matter. If you allow one a flood is soon to follow. It's time to right the ship and have it go in the right direction. If you turn a blind eye to it you are part of the problem. Granted they did a great job this year, hell a good friend of mine was bumped, let's keep it going for next year to be even better/cleaner.

Again, as stated previously...

It is a Whole lot Better.

MX Sports had actually created a Data-Base.

Top Jimmy never won again at the ranch, finished second to Jase Lewis in 250B stk.
Michael Lapaglia did win the 4 stroke class over Jake Weimer in 2005 after winning (for a minute) the 125 C class in 2002.

I was throwing him in the MC category of people that actually made a name for them self after winning the C class, not the Corder/Skinner category of people that won again at LL.
WTF?

I wonder when/if someone from the ME, NE, NC ever won LL in the Vet 30+ B/C or any of the C classes? These riders are at a gross disadvantage because they have actually earned a RPV, unlike so many others.

Maybe if you stated it like this to start with we could have gotten to the point quicker instead of ranting about backing the fuck up and if you don't know this, you're a noob and saying people are ranting and spewing shit. Check yourself before spouting off cause you don't agree with someone or maybe that's why your post count is so high. Relax
