It's really not that big of deal; I'm not sure why you guys are freaking out about the possibility - I'm sure RC wouldn't care at all if it happened.

Now, all that said, you can bet on two things.....
1. Nothing in that bike is super-exotica
2. There will be a big ass bank roll of cash locked away somewhere, and in the event of one claim attempt, there will be many counter-claims. lessening the odds of the initial claimant winning.

Between RC, Fox, PC and more, there will be a handshake agreement with quite a few riders, like Earl May, for example, to all put in a claim if necessary, and you can bet it'll likely be PC's cash.
PC will probably want to keep that bike for their showroom museum at all costs
Do you think someone could race their first two motos with works parts, then switch to production parts for the third moto?

Of course someone should claim it. If lost, RC should then adapt, exploit this as a business opportunity next time, put limited parts on it, make it look bling still and let people claim every damn bike he rides on, I bet he can make 2k-4k(?) profit every week if holding back on some goodies, it's not that he really need special parts to shine?

Imagine someone would claim RC's bike, what stops RC to ask a friend to claim it back again? He can 'bet' $100 000 so RC will get his own money back? Or doesn't it work that way?

Better idea would be for someone to claim it then raffle the bike at say $100 per ticket with the money going to road 2 recovery of something similar. Heck RC should consider donating it to them for such a purpose.

I think that the claiming rule is crap. If you are within the rules of each class then what's the point of the claiming rule?

Also, I think that if you are caught cheating (ie: protested, and found to be cheating) then thats when your bike should be up to be claimed. Not just becuase RC is racing in your class.

Shit he hasnt paid a dime for that bike. But what about Joe Blow who has worked long and hard to get him or his kid in a position to win just to have some clown who's daddy has the money to claim his bike. Not fair IMO

I think there should be a claiming rule so there isn't kids in the Mod 85 class on $20,000 bikes. Although, I would like to read about them.

and to top it off, your pretty wrong on the value. that bike is definitely worth the claim if someone wanted to do it. (or had 16k to burn)

16k just in aftermarket + bike = 25k. even if claim value was MSRP x 2, (or MSRP + 30%) whichever the rules states.


pro-circuit is wanting someone to claim this thing. RC will do his 3 motos, someone will claim it and win...stir up a ton of controversy...RC and PC generate a huge amount of buzz...win/win. PC/suzuki will cover most if not all their costs with the claim money.
