What happened in that big crash in the pro start during one of the LCQ's I think it was? I just saw cartwheeling bikes, but couldn't tell who was involved or what happened.

I had a great time out there last night. What an impressive facility and an outstanding turnout of racers and fans. I've been going to night motocross races for over 40 years and have raced at or been to every night track, from OCIR to Irwindale, Lions, Ascot, Corona, Perris, Indian Dunes, Orange Show and a hundred others...but none of those, not even in their heyday, were better than the show I saw last night. The fans were great, everyone raced hard and the dirt was outrageous. Everyone had fun and there was (literally!) electricity in the air. Brian Barnes does a great job of announcing and knows how to jack up the fans, for sure.

It was so cool to see our boy, Daniel Blair, nail the holeshot and lead for almost half the race! I was all jumping out on the track in the back cheering him on like I was 16 or something...it was a blast. There were plenty of other former WWR riders out there hauling ass, like Peick, Friese, Horban, Rookstool, Urqhart, Lacey and others, but I kind of have a soft spot for Daniel, since he was one of the first guys to run the cape back in the day and he ran that shit up high!

Huge props to Scott Russell and his Hillsboro Motosport crew for everything they do to support racing up here in the Northwest. His shop is one of the most badass I have have ever seen and I could spend a whole day there just looking at the vintage bikes hanging from the ceiling. He and his staff also know how to take care of their customers...the place was jammed with smiling faces the day I was there and I'm headed there now to help out with their massive autograph signing and team meet and greet. See ya!

Yeah, it sure has changed over the years. Smile
I remember when the track was nothing but weeds & marsh land around it and small gravel area to park.
Just yellow streamer for fencing....and 2 out houses and the tower & small snack bar.
That entire track & facility looked great compared to how it used to look in the late 70's to late 1990's (seen it on the video stream last night).
They have really raised the bar there for night tracks. It's awesome to see.

This was 1980....along the back side of the track where you sorta come down the hill.

This was the start in 1988/89ish....
They had just added the wall and a new chain link fence.

Also in the 1980's they used to have Monday practice all afternoon.
Cost $1.00 to ride all day and then they finally raised it to $5.00 in like 89. lol

Chris Johnson was one of them.....I was one of the guys carrying him back to the truck. He was pretty bummed. Felt bad for him and he was worried if he was going to be able to ride Washougal now. His right hip is sore as hell! Actually everything on his right side is sore.

The gesture was directed, I believe, at the 2 MotoConcepts riders, Canada and Friese, but for what I'm unsure.

Dude rides a great moto, then acts like he's never been there.

Just sayin'

Hmmm??.....interesting. I thought Michael completely handed Freise his ass the last time they raced together in the 2 stroke race? Personal shit aside.........the racing and getting a ride here in the states is two totally different things. Michael is well fast enough to have / get a ride here in the states. Just seems to have a good thing going on across the pond. DL has a grudge against Freise....and i would to if he threatened my boy.

If your talking to a riders dad, why mention his son?
Who has the real problem (bobmx)
Michael has more then enough speed, and if he would
of stayed here and raced the AMA Nationals he would
of been one of the riders that got hired as a fill-in.
Doesn't he have a 2nd overall in the MX2 World MX ?
So there...............
