Weimer 2012;
Monster Energy Kawasaki Factory Team
5th in Supercross points
Currently 3rd in 450 National point standings.
Alessi 2012;
MCR Private team
6th in Supercross points
Currently 2rd in 450 National point standings
Neither would surprise me, but I'd put my money on Monster Enery Kawasaki (Weimer).
DC said last month that "Team USA 2012 will be all Florida-based riders... ".
Then posted this pic.
It's the team that makes the most sense, granted all are in race shape.
James still has over 2 and a half months to be ready/100%.
The race isn't until September 30th (qualifying the 29th/the day before I assume as usual).
I'll be surprised if it isn't those 3 guys.
Not to mention....
JS7 is a RedBull guy and I would assume RedBull wants him there (healthy/race ready) since he has been back racing the nationals. They are the title sponsor of the event and he's their guy.
I believe they wanted him in Colorado also, that is why he planned to come back and do those last 3 nationals or however many it was. The team was already picked that day - miscommunication. James never did anymore outdoors that year as planned.
I believe the only reason he was doing them was to make the team..... Probably RedBulls influence I would guess.
and that's Fiolek's bike by the way, and I have no doubt that if we had a healthy STewart and Dungey, that we could win with Fiolek on the team.
MX1: Dungey
MX2: Bagett or Barcia
MX3: Stewart or Barcia
If Alessi is picked over Stewart or Barcia for a 450 spot, Decoster needs to be kicked in the nads.

MX3 should probably be either James or Jake
MX2 is what the real debate is about around here so lets look at the choices.
Tomac: Fast and strong, but he is a big kid and will really stuggle against the 450's off the start. The pressure cooker of MX fo Nations is huge which might be hard for him.
Barcia: Fast, strong, good in sand but hasnt showed that he can work through the ack so well and he will not be getting a good start even if he gets the inside starting gate and RD or the MX3 rider goes to the outside. Again, the race is a pressure cooker and we certainly have seen Justin implode a bit at times.
Baggett: Fast, strong, been there before. Blake is use to getting bad starts and coming through the field by finding alternate lines which is critical at this track. He has been to the race before and knows how it works. He has also won 6 of the first 12 motos and 3 overalls.
The team is usually picked within the next 2 weeks and if BB is leading the points and can get nother 2-4 moto wins under his belt by the next break, he will hands down get the spot.
Just as an FYI for everyone that was not at the race in France last year. I was there and watched every lap of every moto of all of our guys. BB didnt choke last year. He waxed everyone on Saturday during the quali and then on Sunday got caught up with Tony in the first corner while in a top 5 spot. The second moto was a bizarre chain of events that caused Blake to get caught in a fence which took him over a minute to get out of. If you actually saw the fence he was caught in and what he had to do to get himself out of it you would be shocked. Most guys would have just quire and left their bike there. It was that bad.
Dont talk shit on the guy when you wernt there to see it first hand. I was and he did not choke, and nobody on the team including RV or RD (both of them) or Mitch thought he choked. If those guys didnt think he choked then none of you donkeys talking shit have any right to think that.
Baggett. Alessi. Dungey.
The only questionable spot in my mind is MX3. I think Bubba should have it but then again he is not the most dependable rider unfortunately.
Baggett MX2
Barcia MX3
That is the winning Team!
Pit Row
What if we put Sir James (if he's available ) on a two-fiddy ?
OOPS - Amsterdam, sorry - it's fairly close...
I still think it should be RD5 and Stew, and whoever is leading 250 points at unadilla.
Post a reply to: When do they pick MXdn team??
